I own a few ghd tools and the quality is always top notch (two of them are more than 10 years old and still work perfectly). This curling iron is no exception. The thing I like the most is, with no doubt, the clamp: zero snagging, my hair never gets stuck in there. Now there is a standard small plug which is way more convenient when storing/packing the tool.As side note, the length of the barrel works well for long (mid-back) hair, but I secretly hope one day ghd will come up with a XL version for very long hair.

I bought this food my daughter for Christmas and wish I hadn’t. It is really difficult to use, especially when using on your own hair. It’s difficult to wrap the hair around and trying to get under the clamp, nearly always end up touching it, ouch! Not only that, the curl doesn’t hold at all. We’ve both tried it so on my mid length hair and my daughters long hair. Waste of money unfortunately, we just stick to straighter to make waves (which is also ghd), they are easy to use and the curl lasts! Such a shame

I'm a sucker for good design, and this is beautiful- sleek and modern. I keep my styling tools on the counter, and this lends some serious, understated sophistication to my vanity. The weight is beautifully light, much easier to hold in place than my wand.Right away, the iron checks a major box for me- the power button is placed beneath the clip handle. I'm sure we can all relate to the inconveniently placed button that we hit midway through our styling, and wonder why our curls are getting looser, lol. Press and hold to turn on, you will have both a bright tone and a light. The light ring will flash as it's reaching temperature. To achieve the curls that work best for me takes some practice. But the lovely thing that I had forgotten about clip curlers is that they hold your hair in place, even that stubborn little tuft of hair that refuses to fall in line with the rest. No more going back for stragglers.I have very long hair, and the barrel length is average. I've gotten exquisite curls, but mostly towards the ends. It may be a consideration for some.Overall, this has earned its spot in your tool kit. In my experience with GHD products, it will last you a very long time.

I have only ever owned ghd straightners and it has been the only successful thing to curl my hair and hold it in place. When a very famous influencer said that these were her go to and demonstrated how good they were I jumped at the chance! I've used a few times and they just don't seem to heat enough to curl my hair well. Parts of my hair curl nicely but most of all it barely curls and the ends have a bizarre straight part despite it holding to the curling wand. I expected this to be a lot quicker than my straightners but it seems it takes a lot longer - time as a mum of 2 I don't often get. It also creates a lot of steam even on dry hair and made my hair smell a little burnt. I’ve had irons before that were too light and would slide all over the counter when I put them down, but the Soft Curl has enough weight that it stays right where I put it. That’s really important because this iron heats up SUPER fast (which I love) and is very hot. Any new tool takes a little time to get used to, and like I said, it heats up fast, so I definitely recommend practicing styling your hair with a cool iron before turning it on. I really liked this curler. Curls are long lasting. The curler heats up fairly quickly in under 8 seconds. I like the shape the curler has on the end because it makes it easy to hold and that part doesn’t get hot. You can use this curler many different ways. My favorite way to use it is mostly like a wand but with the tong to hold the hair into place. The width of the wand is perfect for looser or bigger curls. It does take a few minutes to cool so I’d be careful with it after unplugging it. It’s also pretty easy to hold and not heavy. I found it easy to use and was able to quickly style my hair because of how well it heats.
GHD Soft Curl is hands down the best curling iron that I’ve ever tried. The barrel has a super innovative material which my hair slides smoothly and It doesn’t stick on surface. It doesn’t burn my hair or my hair extensions which is a miracle! The curling iron is lightweight and easy to hold. The clamp is really secure and easy to push, which makes the curling process so much easier. Everyone needs this curling iron in their life especially, people who have longer hair or people who are using hair extensions on daily basis. It gives such natural and soft curls in just seconds and your bouncy curls last a long time! Now with my Ghd soft curl, I dont need to curl my hair extensions every day and It saves me so much time.

I curled my hair on Sunday night and my curls were so soft and shiny from this iron. My curls did fall a little after sleeping on them, so I re-curled the front two pieces and was good to go. Tuesday was more of a beach wave look, but the waves held all day again and I plan to wear the waves again Wed. Not with this iron! It’s so smooth with my hair there was no snagging whatsoever and I could get a bit closer to the root to smooth out my natural texture. Recommended by my stylist, and it did not disappoint. I crazy love this curling iron. Quick to heat up and it stays evenly heated. I have very long and thick hair, and it locks in the curl in no time at all and my hair has never looked healthier. I would have given 5 stars, but waiting for a larger barrel for that extra star. That is the only downside, 1" and 1.25" are the only options today. We need bigger, bouncier curls too!!!
