ghd Curve Classic Wave Wand Oval

This wand gives me those perfect second day/lived in waves/curls off the bat. The only con is that the barrel is very short so it can be a pain with my long hair. I don't know why they designed the handle to be longer than the barrel when there aren't even any settings. Other than that, I love the way my hair looks when I style with this.

My go to hair tool, the one item I wont lend anyone! Its so unreal, it heats up in about 20 seconds, and puts out the glossiest, bounciest curly waves! Nice and beachy. I have almost waist length fine hair and a lot of it, and the wand is perfect. Its a bit expensive but totally worth every penny. You will not turn back if you give this one a go. I can have my whole head curled in less than 10 minutes. Worth its weight in gold!

This wave wand worked so quickly and effectively on my hair! I loved it! Perfect for a little beachy, wavy look. If you want a neater look, you just have to hold your hair over it longer. Absolutely amazing

I have exclusively used curling ones for probably 12 years. After my second random brand one from winners broke, I decided to spend a little more money and get a half decent one I have had a GHD straightener for probably 15 years and it works just as good as the day I bought it so that made me decide to get a GHD curling wand, since I’ve had such a good experience with her straightener. I got this one and I will just say it is an absolute game changer. I love the little kickstand. Disappointing

I have been using GHD for decades now. This particular curler is a total disappointment. I actually purchased it without looking deeply into the features. Was traveling and trust ghd blindly so justvordered it. It doesn't have a clop to hold hair so a disaster for short hair. The three finger glove is protection only for three fingers, a novice like me keeps using the other two aswell and it burns. The heat levels are all great but if you could add a clip on the product itself to hold the hair, it will make it easier to use for laymen like us.

Great wand

Having used this wand a couple of time since I got it for Christmas I must say that it is great. Didn't take me too long to curl all my hair which is long in length.The curls/waves stayed in for most of the day although my hair is very fine and smooth so by the end of the day despite putting on hairspray they had fallen out and I was left with a few kinks, but I think that is due to my particular hair type. Next time I will be trying it with the ghd curl hold spray to see if that helps.The wand is very smooth and so sometimes I had difficulty keeping my hair wrapped around the wand as it would slip down if I wasn't holding/pulling my hair tight enough.For this reason I have since bought the GHD soft curl tong which have the spring lever to hold the hair in ... MoreHaving used this wand a couple of time since I got it for Christmas I must say that it is great. Great product.

I woke up like this

I am surprised by the bad reviews. This is not a traditional hair curler. You’re not going to get salon curls. This device is designed for messy, undone beach waves. I am so uncoordinated but somehow I managed to pull off perfectly imperfect beachy, woke up like this hair. Obsessed!!

Nice Item but not that effective for thick hair

The item arrived quickly but it did not work for me. I have quite a lot of thick hair. I had to return it. Still waiting for my refund after 10 days of returning the item. I am hoping they will honour their promise of full refund within 21 days of purchase.

Worth the $$

I have been debating purchasing this wave wand for over a year trying to decide if it really made a different wave and worth the cost. I finally did and LOVE it. It makes the perfect "cool girl" waves that I always try to get with a curling wand. The oval shape makes the difference. It does take about one try to get the technique down. The first time I used it, it crimped straight lines at the top from the oval edge, which I hated and was going to return. I tried again and rotated the wand a couple turns when I first wrap the top to not create the crimped edge then wrap the rest of my section leaving about 2 inches at the bottom unwrapped. no cute beachy waves - need smaller barrel?

Disappointing results for fine, medium-length, hard to curl hair. My hair is fairly straight and loses curls quickly but can brush into vague waves and achieve volume. I hoped the shape of this wand would give me natural waves that I didn’t need to brush out or pull to loosen. I hoped waves would look beachy and be easy to create - a no brainer tool to use.Well for some reason I didn’t get much shape with this. On my front hair that’s shorter I could barely get one or two bends to show up so it looked more big/loose curled than wavy. I’m not sure if a smaller diameter or different temperature would have helped (maybe the iron isn’t heating to the preset temp?).
