ghd The Smoother - Natural Bristle Brush (Size 2)

I really like GHD products and have reviewed a few on here. I purchased this brush for blowouts and I bought this size because it was recommended for long hair. When it arrived, I opened it to make sure it looked ok and then I set it aside. By the time I used it the return date had sadly passed. This is a very good brush as far as actually getting all of your hair - a lot of brushes miss some finer or shorter hairs- and keeping the perfect amount of tension. It doesn’t tangle my very fine hair- another major plus! It’s just a size too big, so it doesn’t curl the ends or do anything really. The handle is a little uncomfortable to hold on to as well because it’s so slim. I’m uncertain at this time if I’m going to order one size smaller. I do recommend this round brush in your correct size because it has more pros than cons and the bristles are very good!

Decent brush

It’s a decent brush, however if you’re not an “expert” in blow drying you might need to practice a bit to get used to it. It is a sturdy and good quality brush, however the bristles are not my favourite. I kind of wish I had gone to a cheaper option because I ended up not using it too often. I also can see why people would complain about the handle, it can be hard on your arm as the head of the brush is kind of ‘heavy’ and combined with a thinner handle it can be uncomfortable.

Don't Hesitate ... !!

I've been working to grow out bangs for five months now ... NOT easy. How to style my hair changes with each passing month. Up to now, I had always used the same drug store type hair styling brushes until coming across an article all about natural bristle brushes. Very happy I found the GHD natural bristle round brush - I have tossed out all my old brushes. It didn't take me long to get used to the shape and weight of the handle, just took a little practice. I love that my hair does not get tangled in the barrel or the handle of the brush. The end result is really nice with far less effort ... not to mention, no more "tug of war" with a styling brush - my hair is happy!!

If you are hesitating as to whether to buy this or not, dont. Put it in your basket and checkout straight away. Its a total game changer. Ive had so many brushes in the past but this one is by far the best. I have fine but long hair and lots of it. It cuts down my drying time, controls the frizz, gives me so much volume. In fact the first time I used it my friend thought Id just come from the hair dressers. It never snags my hair or causes breakage. I normally rough dry my hair until 80 dry and then finish off with this. Honestly its so good and light weight and easy, I could rave about it all day

Ghd Natural Bristle Radial Brush Size 1

Ive had many round brushes, and have paid different amounts from cheap to expensive. This one is the best. I discovered the brush as my hairdresser was using it he said that it was a colleagues brush but he keeps pinching it because it is good. The brush arrived beautifully boxed which seems wasteful but prevents it from getting crushed in the post, which has happened before. The handle is ergonomic so easy to holdmanipulate without slipping, and the bristles long enough to manage longer, thicker hair. The ceramic barrel helps dry the hair quickly. All in all I am happy with my purchase, and wished Id found it long ago I could have avoided wasting money on inferior products.

Lovely brush but too heavy

I have insanely thick long wavy hair and blow dry it straight. I bought two GHD brushes the 3 and 4 barrels because I liked the look of the smooth handle (my hair doesn’t get caught painfully in the join between the brush and handle). I also love the texture of the brush, which is soft but strong and grips my hair well. The only significant downside is the brush is too heavy, especially at end from the silver logo/stopper. This makes it really hard work to style my own hair (I need 30 minutes to blow dry). Also it is hard to twirl the hair around the brush and leave the brush in my hair for it to set as the handle drags it down. It’s a shame as these brushes are the best practical design and look great but just too heavy.

Poor quality - Would not recommend

I bought this brush just over a year ago, but have not used it much as I found it to be quite heavy & it does not grip the hair very well. Surprisingly after not being used much the metal on the barrel has split & broken. I would not recommend or repurchase this as the product has not met expectations. I am shocked that a ghd brush would need to be replaced so quickly, I was expecting a better quality product with a longer life span.
