I needed this to sharpen some drills. I tried lots of so-called Pro Drill Sharpeners, but this one actually makes my drills better than new ones. I will probably never use the other functions of this machine, but I am certain they will work as well as the drill sharpener.

For the Price it is a great little tool. I always have a problem trying to keep knifes sharp, Now I can sharpen them in seconds, I have'nt tried it on my Drill bits or chisels yet. But feel it is going to work just fine for what I need.
The power is sufficient and the stone is good quality. After the first week I have sharpened all my kitchen knives and all our scissors and because I was so impressed with the ease of doing those I took out to the shed where I sharpened all my chisels and fixed all my hss drill bits. I can't believe I waited so long to buy this but now I have OCD with sharpening anything and everything I can. It really takes all the guess work out of sharpening anything and I end up with a perfect job every time in no time.
The product is only suitable for very light use in a home handyman situation. However I have been able with careful work to salvage some chisels and screwdrivers I was going to throw away. Professionals should look for a bigger unit.
1st: It is too coarse for good knives! I have destroyed on old knife already (fortunately as I thought was a bit coarse I tried an old first...) 2nd: The "guides" as it is plastic after few tries already have cuts without pushing the knife hard at all... 3rd: I bought it for knives and after this If I use it again it will be only for screw driver maybe...
Pleasantly surprised. Sharpens knives and scissors in seconds. A little practise gives an amazingly sharp and straight edge. Took an old cleaver & said was going to throw out, came back inside with it super sharp in about a minute. Happy chef in our kitchen. Does chisels and my drill bits too. Happy tinkerer in our shed
Not up to the std I was expecting the adds showed, I believe, a more sturdy item . The price is ok for what you get. Be gentle and might do a half reasonable job.
drill positioning does not give a correct length to sharpen, will sharpen when you work the length and angle manually out but that it not what you bye it for. medium quality build copy of the British Plasplug sharpener but a third of the price.
