A legendary model introduced in the early 1950s, the J-185 occupies a special place in Gibson's history. More compact than an SJ-200, it retains all its elegance and presence, in a more manageable and versatile format. This combination offers a remarkable balance between clarity, projection and harmonic depth. Its reduced Jumbo format ensures fast response, well-defined basses and accurate highs, making it a particularly popular guitar for both accompaniment and solo playing. The famous Maltese cross inlays on the open bridge are an immediate reminder of the J-185's unique aesthetic. Elegant, rare and highly sought-after, it seduces as much by its looks as by its musicality. Exceptional acoustics, designed for artists in search of character, versatility and authenticity.
