Gibson has really stepped it up for 2022. I’ve owned a couple of Juniors between 2005-2012. The quality and detail of this new 2022 model is beyond amazing. They come set up from the factory pretty good and secure in the classic brown hard case. I’m nothing of an advanced player or anything (mostly 70’s punk and 70’s Powerpop influenced) but this Junior feels amazing with the chunky neck and the P90 screams when you want it to, I believe You can literally do anything with this Junior and I love it dearly. Highly Highly recommend!

I still love Fender, but I’m so happy I decided to stray a bit. It’s really changed my outlook on playing guitar, I’m excited again and I didn’t realize that I haven’t felt that in years. I’m like a kid again, I can’t wait to get my hands on this thing when I get home. One other thing, the “Gibson smell” is a real thing, and it’s wonderful. I read in a few places that it’s the glue they use to assemble the cases, others say it’s the nitro. I don’t know but it’s intoxicating. Sounds creepy but those who know, know what I mean. I was kind of hoping for a one piece body but a two piece center seam is nothing to complain about. As far as the tone goes, I wasn't expecting it to be so telecaster like but let me just say I'm a fan. You can nail the classic country tones as well as the newer mainstream stuff. My main guitar is a Prs 513 so going from that to the simplicity of one pickup was actually kinda fun. The tone knob allows you to get a pseudo neck position tone pretty well. The guitar handles overdriven tones really good, which was no surprise. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone, the quality is there again. Good job Gibson. My only complaint is the plastic input jack holder is already cracked. But it's a $10 dollar fix to order a metal one. In short try out this guitar at the very least, maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised as well!

Being a "Telecaster guy" I loved the idea of one pickup and two knobs, like an Esquire without the switch. The shorter scale made it more enticing.The fit and finish is perfect. What I thought was black around the tobacco center and back is actually a maroon tinted mahogany. I didn't notice this until I took it outside in direct sunlight.The fretwork and tuners feel very nice as does all of the hardware. The case is very solid and there is a nice Gibson strap and multi-tool inside.Shipping was next day and free! I didn't leave a Manufacturer Support rating as I just recently received the guitar, and to be honest, I don't think I'll ever need it.Submitting the review I ... MoreOverall:This is my second Gibson. I've never owned a guitar like this before. I've had several fender products, Japanese to American standard but no custom shop pieces. I immediately modded this guitar with an a new bridge To help with intonation. Anyway, If this guitar is left in a consistently beneficial environment, it will perform beyond your expectations. This is a rock and roll machine. Fattest neck I've ever played. Simply put, this thing rips. Get used to the feel and you will be rewarded. Figure out how to use the tone control and a world of possibilities will emerge. A good amp a good cable and a good guitar can go further than you could ever expect.

The stock pickup in it leaves nothing more to be desired, plenty of growl and punch, sounds absolutely incredible on an open D chord. Nothing like it.

There are parts that are a little cheap but are easily replaceable and easy to find when and if the time comes. This guitar is much lighter than it's real deal model. Probably plywood or some other inexpensive wood. I have not given this guitar a proper setup so I cant comment on its sound too much just yet. There is some less than perfect craftsmanship on the fretboard where it meets the nut. Not a huge deal because it is a copy and not a real LPJ. The good price is reflective of that. My guitar safely arrived intact. My suggestion would be to video the unboxing as I have seen reviews where some people have had less than satisfactory guitars received.
