Was in almost perfect tune straight out of the box and is perfectly set up. Plays beautifully and well worth the money. I've always wanted a Les Paul, did my homework and this 60s standard is everything I expected and more. Awesome classic and a welcome addition to my collection. Even came with a photo of the beast in the factory! Great hard case too. I love this guitar as much as my Parker Fly Mojo which I did not expect. Build quality is fantastic. Full marks to Gibson.

Overall:I was amazed upon taking this out of the box it came in. I have not put it down all afternoon. It is a gorgeous guitar for the price. I had to tune e and a strings otherwise it is perfect. You won't find a better lp for the price zZounds is selling this beauty for. Hand wired , orange drop caps , great weight and feel in hand , I love the neck. Easy to play. What more needs to be said. Get one , you'll love yours too.

To own a Gibson Les Paul Standard was a dream I had since childhood. To watch all the great artists perform on the beautifully crafted guitars was magic to all senses. Now that I can call one of those my own is a dream come true. The double AA top is amazing. I wonder what AAA must be like. Well as soon as you plug it in and feel the vibrating corpus on your chest, you know it’s yours and you won’t change it for another one. It’s all about emotion with an instrument like that. Sure, it’s an investment but you’ll always have true worth that holds for lives to come. A gem.

Great guitar after proper set-up
7 October 2019

Overall, best LP standard out of Gibson compared to previous years!+ Great looking finish, couldn't find any imperfections+ Good linear response from electronics (smooth transitions in volume and tone).+ Awesome flame maple top (each one is different though, so sometimes you simply need to be lucky).+ Classic Gibson tone+ Good nut height (sometimes kept too high on purpose by Gibson, but this one is spot on)- Be prepared to do some minor (but crucial!) set-up work, even though the guitars are checked in the store. The neck on mine had way too little bow, which ment none of the strings could even remotely vibrate freely. It was a 5 minute easy fix and now it plays beautifully, so don't hesitate to use the complementary multitool which comes with the guitar!- ... MoreOverall, best LP standard out of Gibson compared to previous years!+ Great looking finish, couldn't find any imperfections+ Good linear response from electronics (smooth transitions in volume and tone).+ Awesome flame maple top (each one is different though, so sometimes you simply need to be lucky).+ Classic Gibson tone+ Good nut height (sometimes kept too high on purpose by Gibson, but this one is spot on)- Be prepared to do some minor (but crucial!) set-up work, even though the guitars are checked in the store. This is historically accurate, so it's not completely fair to put it as a negative... but in my opinion these are a bit harder to reach. It requires a steadier hand to not scratch the pick-ups.

Love at first fret
17 February 2023

This Les Paul is gorgeous. The finish is striking.I played a few different models at a local shop before deciding on this. Playing through a Fender Deluxe IV, tone is awesome. Overwound treble pickup really breaks up the tubes. By far my new favorite go to axe. Can't go wrong with this one!

Nice but.

Overall:I was a little disappointed with this purchase. I mean it's a nice guitar but in this price point it's I don't know I'll just tell you. There is red in the binding I a few places. I play old school metal. Danzig and the like. The pickups are real nice for clean but not that great for hard rock. The low just didn't chug very good. So I'm glad it doesn't have a PCB board. I've changed the pickups twice. First a Duncan custom 5. That was better. Then a very expensive set of the Antiquity JB/Jazz pickup set. They are just ok. They look great though. Next I'm going with a 498t and the matching neck. Not sure if it's a 490r or 496r. Any I bought them off reverb. I'm hoping that does the trick. I do love the playability and the way it sounds unplugged. But I can't ... MoreOverall:I was a little disappointed with this purchase. But I can't get pinch harmonics on the A string 5th fret. I can put this down pickup my Jackson and get them just fine. So that is not good either. I bought this because I wanted a standard with a slim tapered neck not a big fat neck. So all in all this wasn't really worth the money and the search for replacement pickups. Probably should have bought the studio but I wanted binding and a satin finish on the neck at least.

Not perfect, but a keeper.
9 April 2024

The Gibson Les Paul Standard 60's Faded Cherry Sunburst I received had a few minor flaws in the binding along the fretboard. That doesn't hurt the playability of the guitar. The tone this guitar has is amazing. This Les Paul plays and sounds like a Gibson LP should. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.

Stunning guitar
15 November 2023

You get everything you expect from a world beating Gibson Les Paul Standard guitar, with a rare matte finish Cherry Sunburst, and a natural look on the back of the body and neck as opposed to the shiny red. I have had it for a year. What a fantastic instrument.

The best guitar ever
21 September 2021

I finally saved money for this guitar and when I wanted to buy it, there was no available models in stock all across Netherlands. I was trying to find it everywhere and eventually I found one piece here in Music Store. i was so happy! It arrived in a good packaging by DHL. It took longer then expected (a few days longer) but in a good shape. I recorder a full unboxing just in case of any issues, but it turned out that the guitar and the suitcase are in perfect condition. no glitches, or scratches all over the guitar. The construction and the setup are as expected. The sound is also awesome and as expected from a such guitar. Overall, I am very happy with this order.

Wow!
11 October 2022

Overall:I just got this guitar today and opened it up just a bit ago. My first reaction is WOW! In terms of quality control this one is perfect. Beautiful finish and smells of rich mahogany. The neck is a touch more rounded than my 2019 60’s Standard and I’m all about it. Wanted something a bit bigger in the neck but I’m personally not a fan of the 50’s neck, at least the ones I’ve played. The guitar is soo resonant! That was the big wonder for me and holy cow it has delivered! I can play this guitar unplugged late at night if need be and still get a strong projecting sound to enjoy. I’ll update this at some point in the future but first impression…. It’s gorgeous, resonant and feels fantastic! Gibson got this one spot on.
