Gigabyte B650 Gaming x AX V2 AM5 ATX Motherboard

The motherboard was delivered within expected time. However, a part of the GPU locking mechanism was broken. Couldn't be bothered with returning so kept it, as the motherboard still works and the GPU still attaches albeit with a bit difficulty.

In my opinion this motherboard if the perfect balance of performance to money and futureproofing the PC. The BIOS is easily updated without using q-flash once windows and the GIGABYTE software is installed. Thus far, I have no issues with performance despite being underload.

Awesome features

I was lucky enough to receive version 2 of this board, to my surprise the main m.2 slot has been upgraded to pcie5 slot. This is an excellent board for the price.It has a few premium features that you would find on more expensive boards such as built in WiFi 6 and bluetooth.The board design is nice with built in heatsinks for my drives and plenty of cooling for the vrm's.This board has no built in rgb but has plenty of 5v and 12v rgb headers to please most people. Performance is rock solid so far, paired with a Ryzen 7800x3d with a mild overclock and the f30 bios update stability is perfect.

Delighted with this Motherboard

I've just finished my first build using this and a 7800x3D and it all worked, first time. I had to use online guides and the gigabyte website, but everything was so simple when instructions were followed. The first time i fired it up there was an error as if it had previously accommodated a different CPU, but simply pressing 'Y' sorted it and a reboot loaded straight into bios, which is also so simple.Also, ordered this board, but it came as an updated V2, supports PCIE 5 and some other improvements.Highly recommend. the Gaming X AX and Scan.

Does the job for 7950X

Plenty of settings to adjust, seems to have 90% of the BIOS adjustments the high end Gigabyte boards have.VRM sits on 51C when board is supplying 200W TDP for days on end with OK case air flow. Has plenty of fan and LED headers, and fault finding LEDS. Does support overclocking CPU and RAM. Good value for AM5

Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX - good stable board

Seems like a good board so far. Everything laid out nicely and connected without a hitch. The wifi connects and is stable.The board could do with some more fan headers and argb connectors but I installed a fan/argb hub and can now connect as many as I want. This board was used with a AMD Ryzen 7 7800x3D processor, AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT, 32 Gb 6000mt ram, Crucial 2TB P5 NVMe. The AIO installed well and cools the CPU just fine. I haven't flashed the BIOS from the factory setting as everything seems stable atm. All in all, I would very much recommend this board.

Gigabyte B650 Mobo

Disappointed that I received an older version of the Gig B650 that did not have the upgraded PCIe slot. Customer service were unable to help (Newer ver. not in stock) So, something to look out for when buying this board. Otherwise, service by Scan was fine.

Great board

I read reviews extensively before buying anything and this board was rated the best b650, I don't require an overclocking board or features but I'm sure this would handle some if required, running a 7800x3D, setup was simple booted straight away bios update was simple, I've not used gigabyte for a long time, I went from MSI to gigabyte and the bios is simple even in advanced mode! It's got some weight to it with all the heatsinks it has on it which is good, if you got great airflow this board will stay cool, simple to install the CPU providing you follow the markers on the board etc, all in all happy with my purchase

No Issues at all

I realised Scan had a motherboard bundle including the motherboard and CPU I was already planning to purchase, ended up saving me about £50. Ordered on Saturday night and received delivery on Sunday afternoon. Everything was packaged well and I've had no problems at all even though it was my first PC build. I don't get any coil whine from the motherboard which has been reported on Reddit. Updating the bios is easy and working in the bios is not too difficult. Can't comment on the included CPU cooler as I'm using a Thermalright Phantom Spirit tower cooler to keep the PC quiet.

No frills motherboard that deliver.

Purchased this motherboard from the Scan for a new build with Ryzen 9 7900. Pair them with Crucial Pro DDR5 Ram. It works flawlessly at the first go. Very stable. Both motherboard temps do not go beyond 67 degrees. Best part is WiFi6 with the package. It would put a lot of expensive AM5 motherboards into shame.
