Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2060 Super WINDFORCE OC 8GB Graphics Card

I can't think what to say so;Wattage went over 200W, core speed over 2000 MHz with a number acquired from EVGA Precision X1 and because I'm not an overclock expert memory bumped up to 1800Mhz giving top temperature at 75C.I could get a lot faster if I was an overclocker, but I'm not.Oh the number depends on the whole system and mine is set at factory settings but this GPU is for games played at QHD or 3K resolution.

Pros: Very impressed with the graphics quality and Death Stranding looks fantastic using Raytracing.Cons: Only downside for me is the noisy fan. Loud thrumming from around 75% speed through to 95% speed. Had to manually overide the speed to 100% to lessen the noise.

Average AIB with average performance

Basically this card functions like any other RTX 2060 super, no need to go in about the performance because there are hundreds of reviews out there. What I will mention is the cooling/thermals; in an average PC case it will choke and at 100% GPU heat up to 81C. This is compared to the 71C of my old GTX970 Asus Strix which I had just swapped out. Part of the reasons are that the fans are placed too far off the board; the right hand fan is actually not blowing much on the main body and so isn't really cooling where it should be! Next is the noise; pretty quiet except for one slight flaw. Due to the fan mounts being slightly loose, when the card is installed and the PC is upright, there is a weird rattling noise once fanspeed exceeds 50%. I managed to minimise this noise by tightening up the screws that mount the fans to the heatsink but I really shouldn't have to do this. Further to this I have also purchased a GPU support to mitigate any further card sag; the rattling noise is eliminated if I supported the corner of the card which is unsupported. I think this is down to having a plastic instead of metal backplate which means the card is not as rigid as it ought to and thus the plastic fan shroud will bend slightly. In summary, this card performs as expected albeit with some minor niggles. I don't think I can whole heartedly recommend this as it is already Rev 02 and those issues should have been fixed.

Awesome gaming card for less!

Yes I know what the specs say; 2080 ti and soon 3080 wil beat them all. But really it comes down to real world experience and this 2060 super handles my fav game ghost recon breakpoint with ease!! Very happy.

Good gpu but bad temps

The fans need replaced, this gpu is in good condition but need maintenance on fans, it have bad temps...i had 100% speed fans and overheat to 80 celsius, i changued thermal past and undervolt and i got 73 celsius

Great output without gourging on power!

Excellent output without sacrificing energy. As you jump up in the series levels with Nvidia you'll find large jumps in power consumption. This won't matter for average gaming or simple daily computing but if your running long-running programs such as Folding@Home your energy bill will matter and that's where the GTX1060 and the RTX2060 Super will fit your needs. Does both 1040p and 1440 resolutions at an affordable cost. Well within good operating temperatures too which is important in the summer season! Check out the figures for yourself and see what energy consumption you have with the RTX2080Ti and the 3080Ti.

Refurbished RTX 2060 Super Windforce is working well

I thought I might have to exchange the refurbished GPU. After completing the build, I flipped the power switch, and everything booted up and worked, but the VGA troubleshooting LED on the motherboard stayed lit. That was discouraging, and I assumed that there was some kind of voltage problem with the card. Then I remembered that I had plugged the Y end of the power cable into the PSU and the single end into the GPU. I did that to hide the unused Y plug in the PSU compartment. I swapped ends on the VGA power cable and rebooted. Success! No trouble light. Now everything works like a charm. Luckily, I didn't fry anything and the RTX2060 is working just fine. This machine was always intended to run Linux. I read many, many reviews. Most reviewers were running Windows, and only a few were running Linux, so information about Linux compatibility was a little sparse. I am a hobbyist photographer and video creator. I may try a few games, but my main focus is on graphics and video editing. Originally I was going to buy an AMD RX 5700XT because of its price to performance, but I slowly changed my mind after seeing the AMD driver fiasco and not really knowing if that situation was completely fixed. Also, the documentation for the software I wanted to use seemed to prefer Nvidia. I was unsure if all my components would run under Linux, but so far everything works great. I bought the refurbished RTX2060 with the idea of upgrading in a year or so to a 3000 series or possibly to AMD 5000 when availability and prices stabilize. In the mean time , I have no problem using it as is. Right now it's doing what I want and I'm happy with it.

Worked as expected

Purchased for a client with a strict budget. Stress tests concluded the gpu was running within spec. No crashes or wonky thermals. Great for being available during a time when nothing else was available or even an option.

Worst GPU ever had. Never buy a refurbished one.

Stops working due to hi temp. Fans running as crazy with no chance. A refurbished GPU supposed to have fresh thermal pads and thermal grease. The grease was dry like it was out of the factory. Very disappointed.
