Regarding the scratch Gigabyte customer service told me to return to Newegg for replacement, ha yeah if there were any available. The Aorus and the RGB Fusion 2.0 software. Aorus tuning/control software, the auto tune function would always produce a result that would end up with direct X12 crashes. Going to try Nvidia tuning based on another review on here. RGB fusion was buggy/mess. I ended up just setting the color pattern I wanted and uninstalled. The appearance of the unit isn't great. The plastic housing on the fans is thin, the power ports look cheap/were hard to get my PSU cables in. I understand it's not an Aorus model, but even my lower end Asus base 2060 looks a way better. All in all based on the experience with this card and the defective PSU that came ... MoreRegarding the scratch Gigabyte customer service told me to return to Newegg for replacement, ha yeah if there were any available. I was simply trying to get my hands on any 3070/3080 I could get this season at retail price. As soon as I can just hop on and buy a better version and no play the in stock game, this unit is getting sold.

I don't want the fuss of building a system myself, especially dealing with minor incompatibility issues. So, I put together a system with their on-line system builder, but had a feeling I had chosen something weird. Good news, actual *humans* call you during the build to sort out issues, work with you to find reasonably priced replacements and offer a callback number. It's pretty close to white-glove service. Build was ready the same day, let me pick it up instead of shipping, and has worked flawlessly since. I'm very happy I went with them instead of another online builder somewhere unknown. Bonus, when I went to pick my build up, I got to check out the store!

So this is my first ever PC build since most of my life I’ve been gaming using laptops from Asus and Lenovo. The card can run anything I throw at it at ultra no sweat. I have a 1080p 240 hz monitor and I’m telling you it’s butter. I’m very happy with this card and also most of my parts were from Best Buy and most of it had discounts so the build was still pretty much budget friendly. Also, Aorus has a software that allows for OC-ing the GPU and you might want to check that out too!

As many of you may know, the current RTX 30XX series from Nvidia (and AMD's RX 68XX series) are hard to come by, and as a result, they are priced higher than suggested MSRP. I was able to get this card for $100 higher than the intended MSRP. I purchased the card for $599 (before tax), while the MSRP for the RTX 3070 is $500. In my opinion, this particular card is worth the extra $100, because I needed an upfrade. It is quiet in my case, even when under 100% utilization. If I play the current Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on the highest graphics settings, I get stable framerates (100+ in 1080p). My graphics card may become warm, because it's running at full utilization all the time, but it does not get so loud that I can't hear it outside my case. I can't comment on ... MoreAs many of you may know, the current RTX 30XX series from Nvidia (and AMD's RX 68XX series) are hard to come by, and as a result, they are priced higher than suggested MSRP. I can't comment on the sound levels outside of a case. My case is a Fractal Design Define R4. All this to say, I bought it because I NEEDED an upgrade. Ny last video card could not keep up with the games I was playing at 1080p, so I needed a new card that is more powerful. If you don't NEED a card now, don't spend $599 on this particular Gigabyte card.
Shipped a little dirty but is performing as expected and I have not run into any issues so far. The GPU itself is a great value performing very well at high settings on games like Call of Duty Warzone. I easily crush 120FPS with no issue while streaming and encoding with the card. It even has a little RGB, but I am not sure if/how to control it. All in all, a great purchase I am not disappointed with.
Good 3070, overclocks well and stays relatively cool provided you give it an aggressive fan curve when ocing. The fan noise isn’t silent but its not offensive either at full bore. And usually it stays completely silent on light workloads. Coil whine is present but unless you stick your head in the case you can’t hear it. Great build quality too, especially the metal backplate.
Card was purchased from winning the newegg shuffle. It's all luck folks, it is possible for you all to get picked. Card was bundled with 2k 240 hz monitor and whole purchase was roughly 1600 bucks. This card is a beast, best price to performance of the 3000 cards. I upgraded from a 1070 and it was quite a leap. Powers through everything at 2k at reasonable framerates. Plenty high enough to stay above 144 fps in most cases. There are a few games where the performance leaves a little to be desires but it is due to poor optimization (ghost recon wildlands I'm looking at you). This card is great because it's smaller than basically every other competitors card other the the founders edition. It's smaller height wise than my 1070 from MSI which is saying something. Temps are slightly higher because the heatsink is smaller but it hasn't gotten above 70C at full load and raytracing at high in metro exodus. Cooling is adequate. Card can be louder since fans ramp up quickly to 70% of speed, but I'd rather have a little noise that is getting drowned out by my headphones than a card that melts lol. Overall great buy. Keep trying the shuffle and best buy drops. I tried the shuffle every opportunity for about 2 months before I got picked. Even tried best buy drops too which are just as frustrating. Its definitely not worth the 800 bucks I payed for it, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
This graphics card is excellent for an avid gamer hoping for high quality with a big budget to spend (Especially in these times with mining and scalpers etc.) Delivers well with 1080p, 1440p at around 144 fps, and 4k at above 60 fps. The fans keep the GPU quite cool while also delivering a bit of noise at heavy workload. This GPU is also great for VR as I was able to run this at 3500 x 1800p at 90hz on the Oculus Quest 2 with Link. The ray tracing is also amazing for the games supported (Tested on Fortnite, COD Cold War, and COD Warzone). Definitely recommend this GPU once more stock becomes availible at MSRP. ^^
LOUD and doesn't play nice with Windows 11. My drivers keep crashing. I think it's the drivers for the fans. They are completely off until I start a game and then they run at full blast instantly (before the game even loads). I'm unable to control the fanspeed with Afterburner, AORUS Enginge (the recommended software)l, or Fan Speed. I think the driver for windows 11 just isn't pulling in the fan speed sent to the device so it's all or nothing.
Let me start off by giving some backstory on how I got this card! I had originally purchased a 3060ti and ran into graphic errors that I thought were from a faulty graphics card! I had lots of trouble getting an exchange (obviously since all cards are on back order) so I proceeded to refund and the Microcenter team informed me that a shipment had arrived 30 minutes prior for graphics card! Yes I was lucky to snag a 3060ti but I was even more lucky with my timing to snag the 3070 to replace my card!! Anyways I installed this card and found that I was still having graphical problems. I had a friend come in and trouble shoot, and it turned out the graphics card was never the problem! My displayport cable was no longer compatible. Anyways, the 3070 is serving me well ... MoreLet me start off by giving some backstory on how I got this card! Anyways, the 3070 is serving me well (upgrading from a 1050ti...) so as you may imagine, my mind has been blown! I mainly use my rig for video editing and photography, and have ran into ZERO lad whatsoever. I am running 32GB i7 10700k with 1tb m.2 pcie and several ssds. In addition to running smoothly, I am also appreciative of the aesthetic and lights of the gpu. It honestly completes my setup.
