The Gilbert Union Match Ball, is a high quality rugby ball. There is not much difference between a cheep $20 ball and this ($100) ball but there is a massive quality difference. The grip is really good and it doesn't fade easily, this is more of a physiological thing but I like seeing rugby matches on TV using this ball or a very similar version.

This ball is a nice ball to pass and catch, however, it does not have a very nice shape and therefore spins weirdly. This will eventually stop being an issue but it has taken a lot longer than some other footys to find its shape. It also doesn't retain air very well over long periods of time compared to some other balls. Good ball, small issues that will be fixed eventually.

I was changing the channel and found a rugby match. What a game. I love football a lot. But rugby is amazing. I could not get enough of it. So I purchased a great rugby ball to hold while I watch the matches. Thank you for a nice ball.
After many years just watching - I decided it was time to buy a rugby ball and head down the park and have a kick around. The Gilbert Barbarian 2.0 is perfect for those who want the exact experience of kicking the same ball as the pros. It's lovely in the hand and comes beautifully off the boot. I've even kicked a few from the sidelines.
These balls are just what my club needed for our home matches this season. Great quality and love the branding so we can promote WRS while on the pitch!
The Atom match ball is much better than the omega match balls. The Atom actually holds air and isn’t deflated after a half of rugby.

I accidently ordered a size 4 ball (completly on me, and the help from RI was fantastic) and didn't have time to get it in the post for a return. The product I have now is still a very good one. Can't really go wrong with Gilbert. I do have a size 5, but this one is pretty decent for practice. It's maybe 0.5" smaller, but has the same footprint in your hand. Holds air well and the orange color definently helps finding it in the brush.
My son loves the rugby ball that was under the tree. He just started playing so it was a very rugby Christmas here! Thanks to your shop!
