Gillette Fusion5 Men's Razor 1 Handle + 10 Cartridges

I bought this wanting to try something new. I've used Schick Xtreme 3-blade razors for years and then started to use the Target brand of them that were just as good. I wanted to see what the hype was about with these types of shavers. At first I was amazed at how effortlessly they shaved, but this was also a part of the problem. I have a short beard and these made it hard for me to shave a defining line and not over do it. They're still great razors, but the Fusion 5 doesn't suit me and my needs.

I love the Gillette razor cartridges. I usually just buy a razor from them and can buy the disposable cartridges like these to replace the blade every so often when it gets dull. I really like that these have 5 blades so it gets as close to the surface as it can and shaves the hair off. These are also pretty sharp so they get a close, precise cut of the hair but they’re comfortable enough to where I don’t often knick myself in the process. These cartridges are also pretty durable and they’ve lasted me weeks to a month or so depending on how often I shave and the blades do not dull quickly. I also think these are pretty affordable when you buy the razor beforehand and just need to switch the cartridge out every so often. My husband was the first to start using these razor blades, he loves how close of a shave he gets, and the fact it has a single blade on the top he can trim between his nose and mustache much easier. He has never gotten razor burn, or any skin irritation mainly because these blades don't require a lot of pressure to shave. On vacation I forgot my razor, so I changed his blade out and used it, and in that very moment I questioned why I had been using razor blades targeted for women. I have never had a closer or smoother shave from any other blade. I bought me and my daughter the razor and blades, now our entire household using nothing but Gillette Fusion.

Now that I'm part of the Gillette Shave Club I can buy refill cartridges for this razor and have it shipped to my home on a set schedule

Definitely the cheaper version

I am a long time Gillette power user. this razor is not in any way, shape or form the quality of the previous design. the previous design used metal in the construction this is all plastic. the motor seems much more buzzy and not as effective. This could be because of the all plastic design which feels very cheap. that being said, you get what you pay for is the standard. I would still take this over a non-power razor, if that's all there was. If you can get the metal ones still, which I don't think are made anymore, I would go that route.

Give yourself an unforgettable treat.

I have several excellent electric razors, but nothing can match the feel of a good close blade shave. If you haven't experienced it you can't possibly understand what you're missing. It takes me back to Old Tom fastening the bib around my neck, leaning the chair back, and then stropping the old red straight razor, while talking about THE team. To leave one of Old Tom's shaves was to be reborn again. That's exactly the feel I get from my Gillette Fusion 5 Men's Razor when I use it. A shave to remember. I highly recommend it.

NO EXTRA CARTRIDGE

This razor has me think that I’m going insane. I’m just not reading it correctly in the description. I’ve bought it three times now never got the extra cartridge. I bought two for a pick up order. Double check them to see if there was an extra one in there. There wasn’t went inside to ask the lady if I could at least exchange them and she argued with me and looked me dead in the face and said it’s not supposed to have a refill. One cartridge means one razor. Used all my extra bucks on it too, so I only got $1.88 return, bc i wasnt allowerd to exchange it.

Newly Designed Refills Provide a Terrible Shave

I’ve been using the Fusion blade for years and it consistently provided the smoothest, closest, most comfortable shave on the mass market.The new heads that have been slowly rolling out (the ones with the smaller orange bottom strip with holes) are terrible.I thought I was going crazy that I had 2 days worth of visible, itchy stubble the day after shaving (I usually can go 3 days without shaving with the original Fusion blade), until I looked online and am seeing the same complaints from hundreds of users.I still have one of the original blades. I tried them two shaves back to back and the original produces a profoundly better, longer last shave.You screwed up Gillette and need to bring back the old blade. Redesign to Razor Heads on Fusion 5 is Terrible

I've been using Gillette Fusion5 blades for YEARS. They used to be the very best out there. The recent change to the plastic/rubber around the blades on the heads is terrible. It causes too much friction/drag, and prevents the blades from getting close enough to the skin for a close shave. This makes you use more pressure to get the blades closer, forces you to shave over the same spot over and over, and results in MORE cuts, not fewer. And you STILL don't have results as good as they used to be. Please go back to your old design or at least rethink the new one. I am searching for something new now after almost 20 years, because these are just plan unusable.
