I shaved 3 times with this razor, 2 passes each time with a few extra patches. The razor is a good design but it does not shave close enough and leaves patches. Let me explain. The top and bottom pads are raised way higher than the blades themselves which in my opinion is the reason for the bad performance. I wouldn't recommend this razor. I would say get the fusion as its a cleaner and closer shave than this design.Side note to Gillette, design the fusion blades to fit this handle, without the excessive price of the Lab blades. Customers can use the handle then with the fusion/pro-glide blades, this would be good as it wouldn't mean the handle will be wasted as many have already thrown it away.

I am writing a review because I got as a free sample. My husband loved this razor and it gave a clean shave with minimal effort. The exfoliator bar didn?t really do anything. On the plus a good clean shave and stylish magnetic holder. The minus?no replacement blades and they are expensive to buy. Along with the hefty price tag, I wouldn?t buy it again, but if you want style with a great shave, it could be worth the money to you.
This is one classy razor. From opening the package it felt and looked good. I've used Gilette razors for many years updating from single blade all the way up to 5 blade Fusion. This produces just as good as or perhaps a better shave than the Fusion. The stand is great - nice and stable. No longer will my razor inhabit the tooth mug along with the tooth brushes. I am proud to have it on my wash basin.
I received this product as a product test from Supersavvyme and am so happy I was picked. As a woman who did stop all hair removal due to either being cut to shreds from razors and painful rashes or a painful rash due to waxing, I thought I'd try shaving again but with mens razors, this ladies will rock your world. I will never go back to anything else again. The razor is so nice to hold, no Nick's or cuts and thanks to the matching shaving foam and after shave moisturiser, theres nothing to worry about again. A close and smooth shave with no cuts and no rashes.
I?m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. Magnet platform is a little weak, loved the packaging and would be a make a great gift (like opening a brand new smart phone). This only comes with 1 attached blade, I was hoping for more considering the size of the box. The handle feels exceptional quality, the blade will no doubt last a while and did a great smooth shave on the face. I would recommend, but purchase some extra blades. Just be aware some cheaper options out there and possibility slightly better.

I received this razor free from Ocado and asked to do a review for them. Handed this to my husband and this is what he said: Although clearly a quality razor - it is a little over-priced for what it is and Gillette are probably claiming to tick more boxes than it actually delivers. The exfoliating strip would seem a bit inconsequential. I like the weight of it and the magnetic stand is a nice touch, but at this price I would have expected at least a couple of replacement blades. It is probably "a cut above" the average razor, but then it is a lot more expensive than the cheaper/average razor.
I gave up on razors about a year ago and switched to an electric shaver as they always give me spots - I must have sensitive skin. I tried this razor with the matching shaving foam, and although it gave a good, close, comfortable shave, I still developed a few spots the next day. The razor looks nice - feeling solid and well made. It has a pivoting neck, so follows the contours of your face, resulting in a clean shave with few passes. The magnetic stand is a nice touch. I?m not sure what the benefit of the exfoliating strip is (feels like marketing hype to me), but overall, it works well ? just a shame it didn?t solve my spot issues.
