"oh wow, another razor" - but this one is LEGIT

I feel as if there is a "new razor technology" that comes out every year claiming to be better than your dad's razor. BUT this razor is actually better than anything I've ever experienced.I have a short beard and I use this to clean up the neck area - which is typically where most razor rash is experienced. I typically used a straight razor or 2-3 blaze razor but even still, it was tough maintaining the razor's edge or expensive getting new cartridges.Well this thing is the best of both a straight razor and multi-razor. It's extremely sharp but more importantly, holds its edge (going on 4+ months on one razor heard with shaving 2-3 times per week).And then the exfoliating thing actually seems to prevent any and all razor burn. Great Razor and Base with 1 too many blades

I got this GilletLabs with Exfoliating Bar Razor to replace my old Mach 3 that i've had for years and I was super pumped the day that it arrived. I was looking forward to finally having a new razor with an exfoliating bar and also to finally have a magnetic base for my razor! (which is probably the 2nd coolest feature of this product after to the exfoliating bar =)The first few times I used this razor I did notice a closer shave, so much so that I noticed I could almost go and extra day without shaving versus the standard 2 days I was used to with my Mach 3.However, during a couple of these initial shaves I did have the unfortunate event of cutting myself with the razor when trying to shave just below my nostrils since I believe this razor simply has 1 too ... MoreI got this GilletLabs with Exfoliating Bar Razor to replace my old Mach 3 that i've had for years and I was super pumped the day that it arrived. If they offered a smaller version of this razor with 1 or 2 less blades i'd buy it in a heart beat.But don't get me wrong this is still a great razor and worthy of at least 4 stars! Just another marketing ploy

I succumbed to this new razors ad and purchased one. I remember the days before supposed comfort strips were billed as the best shave ever. They never lived up to that. Today, they hawk that the best shave is with an exfoliating strip. I tried it. I am not a fan of five blades. They take off too much skin and leave me chaffed with burn spots. The exfoliating strip is a nice marketing ploy, but I don't see the value of something raking my skin just before I'm going to run a razor across it. I think there are much better products to remove dead facial skin and I recommend them instead of this razor. The razor is pretty well balanced and looks kinda funny, and the blades are fairly easy to change. May have finally found my razor

Since I've started shaving I've bounced from brand to brand and 3-7 blades with all sorts of features but never settled on a consistent razor. This one was a surprise and will be my choice for some time to come it seems. The first thing I noticed when unboxing was the included base. I had expected from the picture it was a plastic disc but was not ready for how solid and sturdy it was, and the weight. It sits firmly where you put it and is a solid display stand for the razor when not in use. The handle is nicely sized and allows for a solid grip no matter what hand or angle you are holding it at. Makes it easier to get into corners and specific angles. I still somewhat believe that the claim that this razor's exfoliating technology removes debris is a gimmick...but it doesn't really hurt anything, either. I almost can't believe that I'm saying that the performance of a cartridge razor is satisfactory, but this comes way closer than anything similar. While I won't be using this as my go-to razor or a replacement to what I have been using, it will definitely be nice to have this for occasions when it might be appropriate, such as traveling.

I have been using Gillette razors for the last 21 plus years. Being in the military and having to shave everyday, a high quality razor is an absolute must. They have gotten better and better over the years and this is probably my favorite. I love the exfoliating bar and always have been a fan of the precision blade as well. Other razors have tried to mimic that and always fall flat. This razor provides a close shave, no irritation, and I'm able to shape up my sideburns and mustache with ease.
