Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio Eau De Parfum Refillable 200ml EDP

Very green fragrance to my nose. It is a different scent from the original Acqua di Gio EDT. The original Acqua di Gio EDT is very citrusy, uplifting, and light to me, whereas this is more green and woodsy (pine forest like, but not quite-hard to describe the scent). I think it may be the vetiver and the herbal notes that really shine through with this one. Smells good, somewhat good for formal environment setting if that makes sense (I can see rocking this scent on the golf course and at the country club in the springtime). I like it overall. Bumping up my rating on this into the love category (been wearing this, and it smells really good-started picking up some lovely sweetness and freshness). This is a fantastic scent-especially for outdoors in the springtime. You get an herbal almost junipery piney zing with this as opposed to a citrusy zing from the EDT. The EDT is a great citrusy fragrance, and the EDP is a great green/herbal/woodsy fragrance.

THIS SMELLS SO FREAKING GOOD! I have over 30 fragrances in my collection, and I just got this one this year. As you can see, I’ve put quite a dent in it. This is abnormal for me but I’m just obsessed with this scent! It’s typical ADG being fresh and citrusy but there this creamy element to the EDP that super addictive to me. It breaks my heart to say that this fragrance has terrible performance. Protection and longevity are terrible. I’m not a sissy sprayer either. I’m not exaggerating when I say you need a minimum of 20 sprays if you want this thing to last half the day. You still won’t project strong, but at least you’ll be able to smell yourself for a while.

1st place: EDT, Close 2nd: EDP, 3rd place: Profumo

Though I think it's a a great scent, I personally would not buy it more than likely, as I don't wear Acqua di Gio that much anymore due to everyone wearing it. But the reason so many people wear it is because it's a staple cologne that you cannot go wrong with. I do like to keep some on hand though. It has top tier sillage and longevity. Lasts all day and you can smell it from a good distance. Very powerful, so use frugally. If you like Acqua Di Gio EDT and Sauvage EDT, it kind of gives the vibe of a mix between the two.

Aqua di Gio Parfum is new for me...

I am a long time user of Aqua Di Gio Eau de Toilette that my wife enjoys the fragrance and purchases for me. I have always had a tremendous amount of favorable comments from strangers, in Malls, Grocery Store, basically everywhere. This is her first purchase of this for me, last month, mainly because the ease of refilling the bottle! And after reading the fragrance before hand seemed to be basically the same as de Toilette. However, I have worn this out and around for a couple of weeks, and realized not only has no one mentioned my cologne, even my wife asked me if I had used it a couple of hours after I had used it! So I do want to say, I don't ever use but one spray on each side of my neck! I certainly never want to wreak of ANY Cologne! Its similar to Essenza without the bang

It is NOT Essenza. It looks similar but it is not. Essenza was pungent and strong sometimes I felt way too strong, almost choking. I loved Essenza but it was too strong, at least the first batch. This EDP is gentle, it is not strong, in no way comparable to Essenza if that is what you expect. I doubt you will find any modern day colognes as strong as Essenza, this EDP is as strong as other modern EDPs I have used. It does have a very similar smell to Essenza minus the pungent. It announces it self gently and stays on gentle for quite a while. The modern day colognes you are lucky if you get 12hrs on them unlike the colognes from the 80s which could go on for days. I hear vendors were required to remove some key ingredient that gave that loud lasting smell.It is ... MoreIt is NOT Essenza. It looks similar but it is not. Just a good put together fragrance

So I received a sample of this and I must say, Wow! THIS IS GREAT!! Take the Regular and classic Acqua di Gio and turn it up 2x with a touch of Niche and this is what you have. I have a lot of colognes, probably over 300 or 400 hundred and I know good quality when I smell it. Over the years, I've basically become a Niche fragrance person normally wearing fragrances from companies such as Creed, Amouage, Masion Francis, Bond no.9, Roja Dove, etc,. and I must admit, I wasn't expecting this from this fragrance, but I am highly impressed. Here you get a fresh note right off of the back along with the citrus blast as well leaving you feeling fresh and clean. What more can I say about this, I love it and I am sure that many people will too as well.

While similar to Profondo, still a must-own

I been eyeing for a few weeks now, and checking the US site for it's release almost daily, so on Tuesday I ordered a bottle of it with overnight shipping. It arrived today.Therefore, this is a very early first impression of the scent. I've been wearing it all day, and as with any scent, the opening is certainly what predominates my senses at the moment.For me, I think it would be fair and accurate to describe this is as "the EDT with the addition of that salty, minerally deep-marine accord which heavily characterizes Profondo".It also features (at least in the open) a soapy quality that is absent in the EDT but can be found in Profondo, which leaves me to believe it is the Lavender at work. This soapy quality is not dominant or overwhelming, it's just there.It definitely out-performs it's older brother EDT, significantly.Acqua di Gio EDP is a happy middle ground between the EDT and Profondo, combining the fruity-water-on-the-breeze magic of the original with the depth, punch, and soapiness on offer from Profondo.Looking at the comparisons, I think this is much closer to Profondo than it is Essenza or Profumo, by a long shot. Essenza actually has a good bit of what eventually became Profumo somewhere in it's DNA. Where I described this as a happy middle-ground between EDT and Profondo, Essenza was the happy-middle ground between EDT and Profumo.This release has very, very little in common with either of those, and what it does have in common with them is more about the DNA of the EDT which is present in both.That's not a bad thing either, as I think Profumo does perfectly what it set out to do, and should be left in it's lane. We don't need a re-release of Profumo which does the job less-well than it did.Furthermore, to address a question I am quite sure sits at the forefront of many people's mind; this is not a replacement for the EDT, but it's a really good release and a good addition to the line.I think those who will be most pleased with this release will be those who REALLY liked Profondo - but wished it had skewed slightly more towards the root DNA of the EDT than it did.I'll probably add an updated review later as I get some more time with it. For now though, I do recommend it.

It does smell good on my skin but smelling it off the bottle without spraying, ADG smells a little bit different. The classic ADG is the ultimate clean scent and with all clean citrus scents, it suffers from very short longevity.This eau de parfum flanker promises a longer lasting version. Off the bottle or sprayed on a piece of paper, I can tell you that the "clean-ness" aspect of the scent changes as soon body oil and sweat gets added to the equation. Word of advice: spray this on your skin when deciding and walk around. Do not destroy the freshness of ADG by underestimating its power in every spray.I will not be purchasing this product because I already own a lot of citrus scents but for quality alone, you can never go wrong with this flanker. I say try the original classic and compare this flanker. Recommended if you don't already own the original classic. Sniff test first if you already do.
