Best value for money on dual-fuel cookers. For the last couple of years the manufacturers in Italy improved dramatically the design and the quality of the components to improve reliability and performance.Be careful with chinese made cookers with "italian" names. Pay a little more but go for european or aussie made ones.Definitely I will buy another Glem.

First delivery of oven discovered it was badly damaged on bottom. But easily replaced and straight away by appliances online. Very impressed with service.Second oven was in good condition. Very nice looking unit. Pretty sturdy in build quality. (Better than Westinghouse we saw). The buttons for the clock/timer are a bit dodgy, but I don’t use them often. All the gas knobs light easily & simple to interpret controls.I was disappointed in the oven size, smaller (narrower) than I hoped. As the specs for the oven are only given in litres, you have to guess the dimensions. Fyi the oven cavity is 44cm W x 33cm H x 40cm D.Be careful of oven door, it is spring loaded for closing. Not as good as previous gas ovens Ive owned. Not sure if I would have bought it if I had physically seen it & been able to measure oven size. There aren’t alot of options for gas stove/oven on market. If you bake/ entertain a lot go the bigger size. For everyday use of family of four it does the job.

I bought this one to replace a previous Glem bifuel oven (gas top, both gas and electric functions in oven - their most expensive one) which never really worked very well. The gas on this cooktop works much better, and I don't miss the cast iron trivets that I had on the old cooker. The electric oven is big. I find it heats a bit lower than the temperature says, and it gets hotter at the back than the front - so roast potatoes have to go to the back.I like the solid black knobs and I hope that they wear better than the silver-painted plastic knobs that I had on the old Glem, which chipped and wore out very quickly. There is only a manual timer and no clock, but I always found the clock a pain in the neck to set anyway. The timer only goes for an hour so if you are ... MoreI bought this one to replace a previous Glem bifuel oven (gas top, both gas and electric functions in oven - their most expensive one) which never really worked very well. The gas on this cooktop works much better, and I don't miss the cast iron trivets that I had on the old cooker. The electric oven is big. The timer only goes for an hour so if you are cooking something for longer than that you'll need to use something else.I would possibly have bought another brand but the old oven was built in to the kitchen and I already had a Glem splashback and range hood. If I ever build another kitchen, I will make sure to use the adjustable legs so that I can change brands in future! Also a comment on the grill - I really hate the giant grill in these freestanding ovens. Even if you only use a half-grill, you still have to fight the big grill tray, and wash it afterwards. I ended up buying a toaster oven so that I could make cheese on toast without so much hassle. Something to consider if you are new to buying a freestanding oven.Delivery and installation - the installers kept me informed about when they would arrive, although they were much later than originally indicated. I don't blame them though - they had travelled all over Sydney that day and were doing their best.

I purchased this stove but initially purchased the black which wa not in stock and had to repace it with the stainless steel model. I find all stoves to be quite flimsy and this one is not different. This is a full gas stove and what i found really odd is that when the oven is on, there is heat coming from the top of the door making the kitchen really hot. I thought this was odd, but its the way they make stoves now. It does a great job cooking and the oven is big, but I find myself removing a shelf to be able to fit my bigger ovenware. My overall rating is good.Value for money goodbuild 4* and Ease of use 4 * as the oven takes a while to figure out
We purchased this freestanding gas oven and cooktop because there was no other gas ovens in the country. This was a fair bit more expensive than an in wall gas oven and gas cooktop. So because we couldn't get an in wall gas oven and cooktop, we had to buy the freestanding one at a greater cost. With this in mind we thought the Glemgas one has to be of superior quality. It wasn't. The plumber installed it and the gas cooktop burners all worked well. The oven on the other hand wouldn't work properly. We found that this was because the fan wasn't working. So after waiting for 2 weeks an electrician came to replace the fan on a brand new oven. But it wasn't just the fan. The electrician found that the switch controlling the functions was also faulty. But it wasn't just the fan. The electrician found that the switch controlling the functions was also faulty. But because he didn't have that part it was going to be another 2 week wait. So he comes back 2 weeks later and replaces the function switch. He tests everything and finds that the grill element isn't working. Just a reminder that this is now a 1 month old freestanding oven. The electrician has to call Glemgas for a schematic of the electrics so he can hook things up correctly. To his credit he fixed everything and everything now works. Apart from the gas oven temperature. I call Glemgas once again and am told that there's a tiny screw next to the oven knob that needs to be tightened. I don't think it's right that an unlicensed person should do an adjustment on a gas appliance but hey, better that than waiting another 2 weeks. And what's the worst that could happen? Anyway, it works now. The moral of my story is; don't buy this oven.
Initially received a damaged unit which AO picked up and replaced with their typically excellent customer service. A bit of a learning curve with using a gas oven, having used only electric prior, but it's easy to get the hang of (turn the temp to max first before pressing ignition then leave the door open a minute before closing). Strong gas smell when turning on the oven so be aware of that (it dissipates fairly quickly). Heats up quickly and the heat is a little on the moist side so great for baking and roasting meats, not so good for crisping. Stove top is fantastic, layout is better than others with the wok burner on the left and not impeding the others when in use. Wok burner is nice and powerful as well.
Although I haven't tried the electric grill. I switched from gas top electric oven to this mainly gas cooker. So far it has been a great cooker and have already noticed a drop on my electric bill by using LGP gas.So easy and basic to use. Nothing to technical and looks very nice too.So would say very happy. And would recommend.Would also recommend to buy from theses guys as delivery was included for free in my rural area.
I bought this oven including install and an aftercare package for my rental property. The ignition switch had to be replaced under warranty within 2 months. Only during this inspection from the manufacturer did I find out the appliance had not been installed compliantly with numerous issues that need to be rectified. Its been a battle trying to get a response from the installer through Appliances Online. All I am asking for is a compliant install. Each gas oven install should have the following as a minimum: compliance plate located in the meter box, the safety chain connecting the oven to the wall, a gas tap on the incoming gas to the oven so it can be isolated safely without turning off the mains, the regulator at the back of the oven should not be adjusted just ... MoreI bought this oven including install and an aftercare package for my rental property. None of these items have been completed for the install of the oven. This would cost approximately $350 + materials to be rectified which should have been completed during the initial install. Please be careful who completes the install of your appliances as the install I received was not compliant, and the lack of action and response from appliances online has been unsatisfactory to date. Otherwise, the oven does its job and I haven't had any further complaints as of yet.
Strong gas smell from oven. Cleaned everything like it said but it still made a black haze over the whole oven which I had to clean off and then it comes back again. The clock doesn't work as its time goes fast after just 6 hours after a day its more than an hour out. The timer is hard to use when the machine is hot as you can burn your fingers on the surrounding metal it's that hot. The burner tops are really good however and don't let off a foul odour like the oven does. We cant be in the kitchen when the ovens on it smells so bad. Wish there were more gas ovens to choose from as this was the only black one. Used for two months now and still have all the above issues. In short, great for cooktops but the oven is big let down.
Very disappointed with this oven. The gas hot plates work fine but the oven isn’t heating properly. I have to put it on the highest temperature to heat it and then it’s a guessing game as to when your food will cook. If you put it to the temperature recommend for frozen pizza and cook it for the allotted time it is always undercooked. Tried roasting a chicken and that took forever. I’m an experienced cook and this oven is garbage. A total rip off for the price.
