End: I would not think about this as a mind boggling bourbon in any capacity however what it presents is quite adjusted. Delectable cinnamon graham saltine and malt overwhelm each part of this. An extraordinary modest pour for when you simply need to unwind and not contemplate what's in the glass. Simple drinkable reasonable.

The shading is a pleasant splendid brilliant straw with a shining clearness. On the button contingent upon the whiff I'm getting a blend of lemon strip and semi sweet plantation organic products possibly pear or apple malt blended in with nectar light vanilla and caramel and an exceptionally swoon trace of wood. Entirely wonderful nose with nothing out of adjust or rule yet genuinely light. Positively welcomes one for a taste to find more. As a side note coming over from the whiskey world when I think about any multi year old whiskey you normally expect profound barrel wood notes and impact; however in this multi year Scotch the wood is mysteriously absent in the nose and is light without a doubt. I could never figure this to be a multi year whisky! Not saying any of this is a terrible thing only a perception. Sense of taste begins softly sweet with a genuinely pleasant rich feel (not excessively watery again for the ABV) and with an amazing measure of cinnamon flavor kick in the front end for the ABV. Possibly the 12 years in the barrel are at long last making themselves known in the zest! The pleasantness rapidly blurs into an all the more severe (yet not upsetting) taste with the kinds of malt and the plantation natural products becoming the dominant focal point. Playing reinforcement are notes of light nectar vanilla almond toasted sugars and a light piece of oak. Entirely pleasant to be sure again with everything offering a decent parity and a decent blend of flavors. Finish is medium to long-ish with toasted oat malt nectar organic product (more pear/apple) and tongue stimulating zest waiting on in different waves. Generally a decent lovely section into the single malt Scotch world. I can unquestionably observe why this is a perpetual smash hit single malt as its reasonable genuinely delightful and shockingly zesty without a trace of peat to be discovered which ought to please those not acquainted with peated measures. I think this is a completely fine sipper at the cost despite the fact that not so much momentous in a specific manner. For a sense of taste that is familiar with the customary whiskey wheelhouse this one is charming and I will positively have more pours! Good health!

ABV 40% Glenfiddich 12 I have had this emptied for at any rate 6 years. I have twice bested it up yet I would state the last time was at any rate 3 years back. This was my first scotch the scotch that began it for me. For scotch learners you got the opportunity to begin some place. What's more modest would be the best approach as spending twofold the cost of this for something scrumptious would appear to be squandered on a sense of taste unenlightened to whisky flawless. I don't have the foggiest idea why you could ever utilize this to begin the night or to start a whisky venture. In any case I as of late had an OK single barrel Tennessee bourbon that is an ordinary in my crystal and just after I at that point poured a measure of my home Glenfiddich and goddamn did I love it once more! The flavors moved along and moved through I grinned on the grounds that damn kid that is the reason I love scotch! Twice as great was all I was thinking scotch despite everything rules. NOTES As I nose it now I initially am hit with an unobtrusive dark liquorice. The liquor smell I'm going to call a standard clichã© scotch smell evident vanilla and oak. Zest. I haven't the faintest idea about oxidizing and how much time impacts this stuff yet here goes into my mouth. Liquor consumes first similar to the youthful you would think scotch should. Once adjusted the great oak and vanilla and zest again hit. At the point when I drink this I generally get a gentle tarty green apple toward the end. This completions dry. MY SCORES Characterization oak non-peat non-sherried single malt-7/10 Value Score-9/10 Among others a peated scotch a sherried scotch and a straight oak scotch ought to consistently be loaded in your home. The prospect of reviewing such a whisky was intense, yet the process was delightful to say the least. Here are my tasting notes:Warm and buttery in appearance, Glenfiddich 15 appears younger in the glass than one might imagine considering its age.Stewed apple and a slightly tart, acrid scent overwhelm at the beginning of nosing. Very dark caramelized wood and a lovely perfumed quality follow. As the whisky opens up, chewy toffee becomes apparent, transforming into the smell of overnight French toast—dense pumpernickel bread soaked in brown sugar and butter caramelizing together in perfect harmony. The butter note sticks in the nose throughout the tasting experience. On the palate the gritty, nutty aspect of buckwheat plays with burnt caramel and clove. Dense and rich in mouth feel, there is a particular umph that is captured in the whisky. The substantial, chewy nature of the whisky pairs well with the butter and honey that stretch across the palate. Lastly, fig rounds the experience. The finish is slightly bitter, yet as soft and buttery as the nose. Mixed peppercorns and salted caramel play up the sweet and salty nature of the finish. Lingering and satisfying, grassiness retains a lasting foothold.A classic and a delight, Glenfiddich 15 is a whisky I would happily recommend to anyone searching for a hearty unpeated Scotch whisky.

Glenfiddich 12: Great Foundation in a Collection!

Smooth, excellent flavor; light side of middle on a "smokiness scale". An excellent sipping drink before, during, or after dinner; when properly served neat, a modest serving can entertain all evening with with full flavor and acceptable alcohol impact. Excellent when accompanying a smoked gouda, but the more smoky the gouda, the more smoky I like the scotch . . . all the way to Laphroaig.

An intro for me to scotch many years ago. Easy to drink, light fresh floral, green apple smell, with a tiny warmness. Now I rarely drink it but still have a bottle on the shelf: overall it is not that interesting a dram. At price of $45, there are a few bourbon bottles that are much more characteristic like Woodinville, Rebel, four rose; for scotch, aberlour, balvenie, tomatin, glenfarclas are better choices.

That bottle is so elegant, it has a nice honey sweetness as opposed to this bottle’s Plum sweetness, but the Dewar’s has way better texture than this! And it’s the same price. And you get the luxury of having the 750ml bottles whereas glenfiddich’s 750ml’s are way too expensive. You wont be sorry with the Dewar’s 15, but it’s sold out temporarily cause I bought the last few bottles they had yesterday.

This classic Speyside from Glenfiddich is aged for 12 years in American and European Oak casks and is presented here in a miniature bottle. It takes some determination to build a distillery by hand, but that is precisely what William Grant and his 9 (yes, 9) children did back in 1886. After twelve months of what must have been hard labour the distillery was ready and named Glenfiddich, Gaelic for Valley of the Deer, and started production on Christmas Day 1887 Glenfiddich is one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family owned and is now one of the World's Most Awarded Single Malt* Scotch Whisky Distilleries. Something tells me that Mr Grant would be very proud! This 18 year old from Glenfiddich's core range was matured in a mix of Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks. Perfect little taster for Glenfiddich’s 12 year old Malt.
