Global 7 Piece Ikasu Knife Block Set

Wow! I don’t know why I waited so long to invest in great knives. The Global Ikasu knife block is fantastic. The knives feel good in my hand, they glide through whatever I’m cutting, whether it’s raw meat, strong sourdough or overripe tomatoes effortlessly.The block is functional and stylish. It’s perfect!

After owning a Global knife set for 17 years we took the plunge and bought a second set. The original set was still in great working order but was looking a little worn. We order a set online from Kitchen Warehouse for a great price and delivery was prompt. Wow, I had forgotten how good the cutting edge on these knives were straight from the box. I'm not to bad at sharpening but usually only get around to it about 3 times a year and the knives are more than usable between sharpening. The new set is incredibly sharp and i will keep it that way now that I have also purchased a Global Whetstone and guides after attending a knife sharpening workshop at the KW North Lakes branch. I've been researching for a quality knife set as the cheap knives I have does doesn't cut it anymore and decided it best to spend for a quality knife set that will last decades with proper care. I read from an article comparing various knives and recommendation provided for different level of culinary skills, ie home cook to professional chef, where the global knives are considered the best value for it's excellent quality for a reasonable price. I took the plunge and ordered this knife set and wow, am I really impressed!! It's like night and day difference compared to those cheap knives I bought in the past and they're really really sharp!
