They WANTED that "anti-hair loss" Keratin treatment to be all about anti-hair loss, but things have changed slightly. I have personally continued to see good results using this formula. However, it does appear that ketoconazole IS in the "Maximum Defense" bottle, which is the only bottle that currently contains it and the formula has the exact same ingredients as the gold label but with the addition of the keto and coal tar extract. Personally, I might switch to the max defense bottle and see if I like it better since my personal reason for using this is to prevent hair loss and ketoconazole has been shown to have positive results in hair loss and DHT blocking.Hopefully this review helps to clear up any of the confusion with these product changes and you can make an informed decision on which formula you want to try, but overall I stand behind these products and I will continue to use them every day.

So I needed to dye my roots & I read that you should dye your hair BEFORE you use The Best so I dyed my hair then I applied the Treatment in my hair. Well I get out of the shower after the 60 minutes & my roots were ORANGE!!! So I went out & got a SEMI permanent dye because I read that you have to wait at least 2 weeks before using PERMANENT hair dye over keratin treated hair. Thankfully the semi permanent worked & my hair was back to black. My hair is naturally wavy/curly but now it dries a lot straighter with a slight wave. If I blow dry my hair it looks like I straightened it! Its amazing! I use to have to blow dry and straighten my hair so this has helped me cut way down on heat! I think this is a great product. I followed instructions to the 'T' and I like what I am seeing. I have wavy frizzy medium to fine hair, so I left the product on only for 45 minutes. The smell was nice - no obnoxious fumes - I keep the windows open and had a fan just moving the air around, so it was not like the product in salons that are just so irritating. I just applied it and the result so far is awesome. It will be interesting to see if the results last. I'll keep you posted.

I bleached my hair twice, and then dyed and toned it all in less than 24 hours, while using this in between, and I have very little to no breakage. I did use a different brand of bond protector while actually completing the bleaching and dying process (with different ingredients than GK Hair, The Best hair treatment), but even after rinsing out the bleach and toner and color, I could feel that my hair was "dry" even while it was still wet (some of you know what I'm talking about!). This is where I applied the GK Hair, The Best hair treatment - It has a recommended "sit" time of 10 minutes, but I left it on for about 30 each time. My skin felt a slight tingle/burn. I have very sensitive skin, but overall didn't feel that this was too much of an issue for me.4. My hair has grown, but also, it's too early to say if it's making a difference, because my hair is so short, it will always appear that it's growing rapidly. Keep up with it, be consistent.5. I feel more NEW HAIR growing on my scalp. I can run my fingers through my hair and I feel all of them growing! This is huge.Overall, 8/10 for this product. Happy with the finished process. NO smell while using the product. Lengthy process if you are doing it by yourself with no help at home.3hrs later for DIY.... I am happy with the result. A little expensive for what you get. I might be able to get two treatments from this pack. Overall if you are confident you can manage this at home then I recommend it as it is a quality product. I am not a hairdresser at all. Out of desperation to tame the hair decided to use this product and watch the GK videos on how to use product. Happy with the delivery. Would I buy again. Yes if I have to resort to doing my own keratin otherwise very happy to leave it to the experts.... no thanks prefer to sit in the chair and sip coffee and read a mag while my hairdresser the expert does it.

This shopify price tag was worth it! This is a winner!FYI- (1) the writing on the bottle is really, really small! -Invest in a magnifying glass, or find the directions on line- it's important you follow the right directions for the type of treatment; (2) it doesn't come with an application brush; (3) - or, gloves.
