Bought these radios for an OSHC that I work at. We use them for excursions and communicating between different areas of the school. They have great coverage and very clear. Just need to hold the talk button for a second or two before you speak, but that is quite common with all radio's I have used. The GME 2Watt UHF Radio is by far the most superior I have used.

I work in rainforest covered mountains and these suckers outperform Uniden 5 Watt radios both in transmitting and receiving. Tough and durable, awesome sound quality and have never had a problem with power supply, they get used almost daily and hop on and off the chargers again and again. Have used them for a week straight without recharging. Wouldn't recommend it though unless just to experiment. Stay safe out there lol

Had this radio for several months now. Quite good range in urban built up areas and exceptional range in rural country areas. Good for communicating with other drivers when driving with friends/family on long drives. Battery life is superb and has all the features needed for a simple way of communicating without having to use mobile phones.

Excellent range, SUPER clear and easy to use. We tested them for distance and objects - goes though hills and buildings for kilometers++. Highly recommend. We were originally thinking of going 5W units but the 2 W was powerful enough by far.
Well assembled communications kit with four capable transceivers, flexible mains and DC chargers and sturdy carrycase very suited to supporting daily communications at group, sports or work event. Kit would benefit from included documentation on setting radio configuration to get best from radios in event environment. Can be used straight out of the box for novice user but will miss out of many great features.
After comparing different brands of radios and prices, the GME quad pack from Anaconda was the best value around the market.
We use them internally around our park. Good for staff to communicate. We have channel lock set to keep comms inhouse. Good value radio
Solid build but range is horrible. Line of sight is more like 300m -400m on freeway even on high power. Was put to use on the wk end and not impressed at all. Only good for very short distances.
We have wasted a lot of money on products that claim to do what these walkie talkies do, but I am yet to find any brand that measures to these. I recommend them to everyone - they are well worth the investment.
The radios have been very handy for communicating in a convoy for those without a vehicle mounted UHF. They've also been very useful when setting up for winching and someone isn't in a vehicle.
