The GoPro hero seven silver edition is a fantastic action camera for quite a few things. In my case I am an arborist, so capturing epic moments like the ones I have included in this review makes my money well spent watching over the footage and sharing on social media. However, my GoPro in particular, sometimes has SD card errors, and does not record anything. because of this problem I have factory reset it and has worked fine since.

The Gopro hero 7 was one of my best purchases ever.. Amazing action camera, good stabilitation, good video and photo quality.. It reached my home in good conditions.. The camera battery it's not super but it's ok! The voice control isnt so good! But's fine, I think it's kinda trickly. Pd: If you want to take care of your camera I recommend to buy it with acc kit that includes cover lens to protect the camera and an acrylic protector.

Basic functional Action Camera

my first venture in to GoPro's after a few years using Akaso and GitUp cameras.BAD: Proprietary SD Card formatting and software - you cannot simply remove the SD card and throw it in to your computer and the software for desktop requires an account and a sign in every time. A whole lot of steps just to get the videos on to your computer !Very limited video formats 4k 16:9, 1440 4:3 or 1080 16:9 thats basically it no 2.7k at allThe Akaso and GitUp cameras at half the price have the basic function of removing the SDcard and throwing it in to the IMAC !GOOD: video quality is goodUploading to social media is convoluted but doableThe app on the Android works well, it seems to be asking me to set date and time a lotThe IOS app will not work on the older Mini2

Disappointed

We're pretty let down. Purchased it for a snorkeling trip to Hawaii. The footage came out brilliant. The camera was easy to set up and use, and getting the footage onto a pc was a breeze. We used the camera a second time snorkeling on Catalina Island. Everything seemed fine until we got home. The camera and screen completely froze during playback. It wouldn't even power down. On top of that, all the footage from the day was lost. At least we got one day's use out of it.

Excellent quality camera

Bought this camera for a Mexico trip and was iffy about which 1 to buy. Went with Hero7 Silver and was amazed in the quality of the pics and videos, download app on your phone and Bluetooth connection to camera right to your camera roll without sd card reader. VERY HANDY! still shot pics from videos with amazing picture. Waterproof and all I do recommend getting the accessory case with the selfie stick though came in handy with almost everything we did.

GoPro is a popular product and after purchasing it I see why.

Nice camera with several unexpected features. Takes good quality photos and video. Several mounting brackets included in this kit provided multiple opportunities. Only time will be able to tell its longevity on the front of a motorcycle. Looking forward to using it.

Pros: Great image quality, very easy & intuitive clip & edit functions - though this does run the battery down very quickly.Cons: After only a couple of weeks use it began suddenly stopping mid session - ten mins into a ride. No indication, just go to look at the footage and - discover it's randomly stopped part way in. Not because of battery, as it's still on near full battery - just suddenly switched itself off for no apparent reason.So presumably a fault but not an issue I've had with the Xioami Yis I've used before unless the battery goes.Second, an inbuilt thing. There's no setting to do a whole of memory card loop record. Great if you want to capture that perfect backflip. Rubbish if you want to record your commutes and only dip in to pull something out if there's an incident.Presumably it would only take a fairly straightforward firmware tweak to enable this so I don't really understand why it's not been done - would make the cam so much more versatile.

Piece of junk and expensive and not waterproof

I got this Hero 7 Silver for Christmas and was so excited I was going to get to use it for my vacation in Belize. I went snorkeling and saw some beautiful coral reefs and fish and huge stingrays and thought it was videoing but found that this piece of junk got water inside where the SD card and port to charge it. The cover looked completely closed but water got through it. I got about 5 minutes of recorded video from the beginning but lost the rest of the time I snorkeled for about an hour. The camera was about 5 feet deep underwater. I was so heart broken that I could never get that experience again unless I go back. I was very disappointed with this product and this company and don’t think I will get another one. excellent camera, very poor 'accessory kit'

Gopro 7 silver is a high quality action camera, which deserves 5 stars alone.But this kit includes a cheap chinese hardware kit that should be illegal as it violates patent rights of many companies who produce mount products, like selfistick ect.My 2 star rating is because the kit included is very very cheap. yes, it works. but everything is very flimsy and theres absolutely no instructions or anything explaining how things work. sure, you can spend a hour or more trying to figure it all out... But every single product i have ever purchased came with instructions. I am a week into recording, and the California sun has already destroyed the strength of the harnesses. they start deteriorating.Moreover, the kit comes with no memory storage.
