I’ve tried these cats treats for my kitties many times and they really like them. 🐱Crunchy treats to help clean cat’s teeth, reduce tarter buildup, and freshen breath. 🐱Made with natural ingredients with added vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients good for cat’s health. 🐱No artificial colors or additives. 🐱Nutritional complete and balanced treat for adult cats. 🐱Only 2 calories per treat. My cats are really picky eaters and they really like the taste of these treats. And I have noticed they really do help freshen their breath too. And I do like that these help fo keep their teeth clean and healthy. These are a good heathy option to give your kitties to ensure their teeth are taken care of.

We have been feeding Greenies to our cats for over a decade. They scrub their teeth and freshen breath. Our current cat is not one to get excited over food, but these Succulent Shrimp Greenies have become a requirement for her morning meal. Regardless of what else is in the bowl, she will sit and stare at it until the shrimp Greenies are added. Then she dives in with enthusiasm. She will also lead us to her bowl, look at it, then look at the packet of shrimp Greenies on the counter, hoping for another snack. I am stocking up on this flavor to keep her happy!

My 15-year-old cat had terrible breath, and has had regular veterinary dental cleanings throughout his life. He now has an advanced heart condition that precludes anesthesia, so a professional cleaning is not recommended. Decided to try these dental treats; incredibly, his breath does not reek anymore. Added bonus: he loves these things!

My cat just had a few teeth removed from decay so I figured I should protect the ones she has left! She loves the taste and smell. Initially she inhaled them, probably because it still hurt her to chew. Now she actually chews them so I feel confident they’re doing their purpose. I’ll put them in her food bowl so they’re easier for her to eat (used to give them to her from my hand) and she will go right for these before returning to the food. Obviously has a flavor she loves!
Both our cats like these treats! The boy will eat anything and the girl is soo picky. I was surprised she meows when I have these treats! Beware, the container is very flimsy. Our boy knocked the container down and half the treats were gone. The lid now has his teeth marks and is broken. I would transfer these to a new container if you also have a kitty who loves to get into things.
Captive (domestic v wild) cats have dental health issues that are painful and expensive. Not one of my cats has ever allowed me to brush their teeth. (I have friends who are successful at this.) All of my cats have loved these and the product does greatly lessen dental tar deposits on their teeth. I use them as a "treat." They don't know it's good for them. Just like sneaking veggies into things for your kids.
When I initially purchased, I ensured I read through all of the ingredients; they looked good. Then, upon delivery, gave a few to my cat - Monkey -- and she instantly loved them. It's been a few years since she's had Greenies for a treat and begs constantly for them. Monkey knows where I keep them in the pantry and "meows, meows" in that direction either until she gives up -- or I give up and let her have one or two. Now, of course, you need to monitor not to give your cat too many treats. For her weight, I give her three treats twice a day. And, if she gets more -- due to her constant "meowing," I then cut back a little on her normal food. She's always happy to see more coming out of Chewy's delivery box! hee hee Also, her teeth and yes, all those teeth in the back ... No tartar and I believe Greenies does help to keep it that way. Monkey is eight years old and is a little spitfire of a cat.
Did you ever read the ingredients found in cat treats other than Greenies? Maybe you should, because it's really scary. The worst brand has the first ingredient of "animal fat." Keep in mind that ingredients are listed in order of amounts. So the first ingredient is what the treat mainly consists of. Now think of all the animals that have fat that they could legitimatehy be using to make this treat. Nothing is off the table according to the label.Another treat starts with "animal parts meal." That means any animal, and any part of that animal, except the meat. Hooves, horns, eyeballs, genitals. Whatever. There are a lot of "parts" to choose from. The best of this lousy grouping lists "chicken parts meal first. Understand that means no meat or they would let you ... MoreDid you ever read the ingredients found in cat treats other than Greenies? Whatever. There are a lot of "parts" to choose from. The best of this lousy grouping lists "chicken parts meal first. Understand that means no meat or they would let you know.Greenies is the only cat treat that lists "chicken meal" as it's number one ingredient in all its treat products. That means real chicken is the number one ingredient in the treat. The next few ingredients in Greenies are ground wheat, brewer's rice, poultry fat, oat fiber, natural flavor and ground flaxseed, plus more.Your cat relies on you to make the right decision about what to feed them. Treats other than Greenies are not fit to be consumed. They add zero nutrition and give your baby's body a lot of trash to digest and eliminate with no benefit to the cat. Better no treat at all if it isn't Greenies. Enough said!
Yes, I gave only 1 star because while all 4 of my fur babies love these things, it’s like a junkie who loves to get high. It’s so bad they won’t even eat their regular food now, and anytime - it’s night or day - that I go in the kitchen, they waste no time getting in there and begging for more. I went thru that whole tub in just over a week. Now, I understand it’s my responsibility to be frugal passing them out, but OMG it’s hard to be when you’re a pushover and they’re meowing and rubbing against you and the pantry door constantly. I swear, those things are like kitty crack!!
Greenies have been around a long time so I am a bit more confident purchasing them than some other treats. Whether or not they actually help to clean a cat's teeth is doubtful regardless of the content. It is still food and just because pretzels are crunchy they don't clean my teeth. Also, cats teeth are designed to pull and tear to catch and kill in the wild so they really don't chew like we do. However, they don't seem to contain anything harmful and cats do like crunchy treats. Wilson gets a few in the morning and afternoon and He doesn't know it but he is now sharing them with the "friendly ferals" who sleep on the porch since their TNR. We will be back for more soon.
