Gretsch G5622 Electromatic Center Block Double Cut with V Stoptail in Olive Metallic
The Gretsch G5622 Electromatic Centre Block /w V-Stoptail is a guitar packed with vintage charm. Upgraded with modern appointments, the G5622 is built to deliver classic Gretsch sounds at much louder volumes thanks to its chambered spruce centre block. Set inside a double cutaway maple body, you can expect high gain power and lightweight comfort, in addition to an outstanding resonance and sustain. Capturing those vibrations are a pair of Black Top Broad'Tron humbuckers that sing with chiming highs and sharp dynamics. With plenty of output punch on tap, they're great for powering single note solos, jazzy leads or mellow chord patterns. And since they're paired with a treble bleed circuit on the master volume, you won't lose any of that high-end sweetness when rolling off your levels. Completing this high-end package is an anchored adjusto-matic bridge for precise intonation and easy flexibility, and the attractive V-Stoptail piece to keep your strings locked in place.

Beautiful instrument with great feel and comfortable playing neck profile. The setup was perfect out if the box. Smooth polished frets and low action. Very happy with this purchase. I've had guitars that cost more and didnt have the detail and features .

Decided to finally start learning guitar and fell in love with archtops along the way, which led me to this Gretsch and a perfect way to begin the journey.

Since prices for Gretsch guitars jump from the five-hundred to eight-hundred range for "Electromatics" and $2200+ range for the actual "Gretsch" line, I always opt for the former. That's ok with me, though. Electromatic is NOT to Gretsch the way "Squier" is to "Fender". These Electromatics are solid, good-quality instruments. I've got a 5320 Jet, and wanted a hollow, or semi-hollow for my next Gretsch. So when I saw this 5622 being offered sans-Bigsby (looks cool, but I don't use tremolos much-it's all in the wrist, anyway), I jumped on it. Action and intonation was perfect right out of the box. Looks great (I got the "Bristol Fog"), plays great. Very happy with this guitar!

Great guitar perfect Condition.Super playable and stunning to look at too.Super service from PMT delivered super quick. Great price as well.
I'll be honest: after playing some lower-end Gretsch models, I had mixed expectations. I figured the G5622 could deliver some nice clean and crunch sounds (which it does), but probably not pull off metal (which it...does). My original plan was to get this one for clean jangle and build up a guitarsenal to work alongside it. It turns out that this will be entirely unnecessary. I am absolutely blown away by the sound, feel, and, most of all, versatility of this instrument. Aside from just generally being gorgeous, I have legitimately never played anything more comfortable before, even going into the 5-10x price ranges. Maybe some Gretsch models are the way people say-only good for certain things-but not this one. I've found my guitar for life!
Great guitar, exceptional quality, sounds very rich. The neck is a little slimmer than on my Gibson Les Paul standard 60', for me it's good and easier to play. I only had replaced tuners on to Grover mini locking. Tuners were ok but not perfect like the guitar is!
Plays really nicely, really warm tone, and was great value (was actually ready to spend more, but this one played the best!)
Lovely Guitar to play, the neck is wider than your Strat or Tele but as a 335 style guitar that's not a surprise. Pick ups, hmmmm.....I do feel they need a bit of drive behind them; playing clean I felt the need to dig in a bit to get them to wake up but with a boost they open up nicely. Only 4 stars because getting an affordable case that fits the guitar or the expensive long wait for a gretch case is a nightmare.
