Gripsoft Deluxe Nail Clipper (Large)

Super easy to use and does a great job at keeping my pup's nails healthy. I found this nail clipper at my local pet store for $6.99 plus tax and was a bit hesitant because it’s the first time I have clipped my dog nail with a clipper and they did an amazing job. I did not cause any pain to my dog. It has a nail guard to make sure you don’t get too close to the nail bed. Also has has blade lock and the handles have a nice grip to it.

AMAZING NAIL CLIPPERS!

These are amazing nail clippers! My Shiba Inu would fight me to the death before & the couple of times I let her get do it, we could here her screaming fighting them from the waiting room. We tried everything to no avail until we stopped trimming her nails. But now these little clippers have allowed me to trim her nails in piece for the 1st time in 13 years. It's only been a short time but it's been a Godsend! It does also have a guard so you don't trim to much but don't go by that cause it could still be too far depending on your dogs paw. Trim a little at a time to be safe if your dog has black nails like our baby, last thing I want to do is hurt her. I'll keep you updated if it happens to go bad, until then I highlyrecommend these. Best nail clippers for a variety of dog breeds.

Best nail clippers for a variety of dog breeds. I use them in a grooming salon and these work for most of the dogs I care for from dachshunds to labradoodles (with the exception of dogs with extremely thick nails like great danes and basset hounds.) Anyway had my last pair for about 5 years but a coworker in the salon lost my spring after they used them. Everyone in the salon loves this brand and style though so I had to buy another. Even gifted a pair before.

Cuts smooth with perfect tension!

I bought the large JW Nail clippers at my local pet supply store and was absolutely in love with the clean cut they had. I am a professional groomer, seeing anywhere from 7-10 dogs daily. These held up so nicely for the large breeds, I decided to purchase the smaller pair, known as the medium. They cut just as smooth, however, the close latch doesnt stay put when ajar and clippers are in use like my large pair. Hence, why the 4 stars. I feel as though maybe I had gotten a defective pair. My groomer gals that purchased the larger pair have this issue as well, even though I only have the issue with my medium size.Overal, happy with the cut, just wish there was more consistency with the latch.

My old Cavvie has nails that grow very quickly. The groomer suggested that I buy some clippers and just do a small clip of the tip each week. I was worried because I had never done it before and I had held my dog when the vet had clipped his nails and he is not cooperative. These clippers were comfortable and fitted well in my hand and had a clear safety edge which gave me confidence. My dog is used to me washing, brushing etc checking his paws between grooms and he stood perfectly and cooperated completely while I trimmed the tip of his nails. The trust my dog has with me and the fact that I was doing the clipping meant that myhusband didn't even have to hold him and no stress or trauma like at the vet. Good clippers reasonably priced !

Heavy duty clippers , nail stop is not necessary . Second pair I have owned . Use on my Beagle. Not a light weight cheap clipper. I would recommend them.

I bought these because my practice had this type of clipper which I really liked using. Unfortunately, I went for the medium instead of the large. They work fine, but they feel a little flimsier. Also, the locking switch is loose so it periodically locks on its own after I clip a nail, which can be pretty irritating. Next time I'll go for the larger size.

WOW! Why didn't I purchase this 5 years ago? Cutting my little guys nails can be a real challenge. He is absolutely terrified of having his nails clip. This often leads to me getting frustrated and him biting me - A LOT! We live with a lot of "click click click" through the house because I dread nail clipping as much as him. Purchased these on a recommendation through a friend. They arrived yesterday and I was able to trim both pups nails in under 10 minutes with no frustration and no bites. The dogs weren't afraid like they are with the other clippers! LOVE THESE!

Spring clippers get stuck!

I was disappointed with this product to say the very least. It was comfortable to hold, however, the spring kept getting stuck after every clip. It made trimming my dog’s nails incredibly challenging, especially since she does not sit still for grooming. I ended up getting rid of it and purchasing another one from the store. Not sure if it was just a defective product or if the clippers are just poor quality, but I will not be purchasing again!

These were easy to use. Nice and sharp, clip quickly and easily. No fuss. They have a protective plate, supposedly to prevent you from clipping too deep, but it didn't help with that. I have to feed my dog a treat and massage her in between clips because she hates having her nails clipped, but I'm able to do it and they turn out great. Would love to have some instructions on the box as to how to angle the blade and how much to cut off. I had the guillotine kind before, which quickly got dull and didn't work very well. These are much better.
