L'homme Ideal Sport by Guerlain, Released in 2017, L'homme Ideal Sport is a men’s woody aquatic cologne with aquatic, warm spicy, and fresh main accords. It begins with top notes of almond, spices, and watery notes. There is a neroli middle note, with patchouli, vetiver, and coumarin base notes ending this scent. In-house perfumers Thierry Wasser and Delphine Jelk created this scent, which is housed in a deep blue lacquered bottle with a matching cap. French perfume, cosmetics, and skincare house Guerlain is one of the oldest of its type in the world. Pierre-Francois Pascal Guerlain opened his first store in 1828, making custom fragrances for high society members. Three more generations of the family served as master perfumers for the company, with Jean-Paul Guerlain being the most recent, retiring in 2002. The family sold the company to Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (Lvmh) in 1994, when outside perfumers were brought in to create scents. Thierry Wasser was named the in-house perfumer in 2008.
