Do not buy
Absolute rubbish. drying time is ridiculous, doesnt dry hard easy to dent unlike plaster of paris. it shrinks and leaves gaps that have to be continuously filled. Regretted buying this after the first coat. Second container thats unopened us going back ! if i could give it no stars i would.... Show more

Easy to apply and sand
I have done quite a bit of plastering as a DIYer and the plastering is my lest favourite job but this product has certainly changed that for me. I found this product the best yet to apply and sand for all the required coats. The fact that I could use it straight from the container was a plus. The air bubbles in the mix are easily removed by giving a stir on the hawk before applying I would recommend this product.... Show more

First time plasterer
I am currently DIY building 2 walls as part of an extension. First time gyprocking and plastering so I thought I'd use the premix to start with. The positives is that its easy to use, dries and sands well & you only need one product for all coats. The negatives are that you cannot use it straight out of the bucket. It has lots of tiny air bubbles trapped in the mix, which translates to your walls. You need to mix it very well in the bucket or on a board before applying. I also found it a little thick and hard to spread (especially in corners), so I had to keep adding small amounts of water to the mix to get it more creamier. But having said that it was good for patching ceilings as is. The other thing is I've gone through 2 buckets already, so I'm not sure if it the ... Good product but not great
I agree with Darren's review - the tiny bubbles meant I needed to apply the compound and go over or several times to remove the bubbles and get it smooth. The premix compound is quite stiff. The time you save cos it's premixed you end up spending going over the compound several times every time you add more compound. I used up the whole bucket and then used powder filler for the top coat and it was so much easier and better. I feel like the premix compound set harder than the powder I used for the top coat - maybe that's just me. If I do a project like this again I will purchase powder and mix myself.... Show more

Good Size Great Price
The Good - You get a good sized bucket of pre-mix for a great price. I managed to join sheets, fix holes in the ceiling from recent electrical installs and found time to spill some on myself and I still have 1/3 of the container left for next time. Compound goes on smooth and gives a nice finish. I used it for 3 coats and the only time I had any trouble was when I wasn't paying attention and let some dry compound get onto the tools. The Bad - While it does advertise as "Less Mess", there is still loads of it that'll get into the air when you're sanding back so either put down a load of dropsheets or have a wet/dry vac with bag attachment in one hand while you sand with the other to keep it under control.Overall though, I'd definitely buy it again!... Good versatile product
It's a versatile product that saves you from mixing your own plaster but the 24-hour drying time means it's DIY only. Sands fairly easily and the dust falls straight to the ground. After use, I put a cling wrap to cover the exposed product to stop it from drying and close the lid tight. That way it won't dry for a week.... Show more

Great for PaperMache Clay
I used this to make Paper Mache Clay for crafting with my kids during lockdown. It worked perfectly!! Highly recommend! The recipe for the clay was found on "Ultimate Paper Mache" website.... Show more

Learn how to use it first. Then review it
What this isn't is a cheap way to buy compound. What it is, is convenient - for the DIYer as its easily stored in the shedDO NOT use it straight out of the tub.Get some water into it and give it a good mix. A GOOD mix. Get the air out of it.You want slightly runny toothpaste or cake batter.Apply with a decent blade. (not plastic)You are buying this because you are probably having a go for the first time. Be realistic with your expectations and don't be afraid to sand. You are saving plenty of $$$.... Show more

Sponge wall
Honestly can’t believe this has so many 5star reviews, i would only use as a polly filler. I did a job plastering behind an old heater thought this would be easier than stocking up on more base coat and finish coats however the end result ended up being a sponge even after painting. After the new heater was installed i was called back to fix a few scratches the plumber left on the wall near the installation. Couldn’t blame the plumber i only had to press my finger into the join for it to leave a dint. The end result is a sponge wall... Show more

Usually good but this time it was nearly out of date.
Used this before and it is fine for me even though it takes 24 hours for each coat to dry. I can't work fast enough to use the quick setting professional stuff. Unfortunately due to the pandemic I had to buy the last lot via click and collect. It had about a month to go before it's use by date so it wasn't as creamy as it was supposed to be and that made it a bit difficult to work with. If I was able to chose it myself I would have picked a tub with a longer shelf life.... Show more
