Pros: I think this is a compact piece of essential equipment without all the unnecessary extra bits and bobs that usually come in "cute" carriers which is a pain to store. The machine is powerful and will blitz anything - for example humus is super smooth, soups velvety.Cons: sometimes the uncoupling of the blender for a whisk and vice versa can be cumbersome and i need to hands to release the unit - but i like this- it makes the machine feel solid and flimsy like other hand blenders i have owned.

Only very minor damage to one plastic part, the rest of the equipment was in good order. The 1000w motor was better than anticipated and the variable speed control simple to operate.

Having used a Braun hand blender for 30 years that had come to the end of it's life I purchased a cheap hand blender from Aldi for little money big mistake. That is in the process of receiving a refund in the meantime I saw this Braun MultiQuick 5 at vastly reduced price and could not turn down the offer as my previous Braun had lasted over 30 years and the Aldi (Ambiano) hadn't lasted 30 days. In comparison with my original Braun this model is far quieter and does not vibrate so much and has not spat the food out of the jug as happened once or twice with the original probably my fault but it happened this model seems to be much better behaved. I have not used the whisk or the food chopper and doubt I ever will the whisk appears to be very flimsy and slow and the ... Pros: Connections are great. Controls are good. Attachments are brilliant.Cons: It has no power. Very underpowered. You don’t need the 21 speeds. The top speed is not powerful enough. I have one from 15+ years ago which is less wattage but way more powerful. Really disappointing.
Cons: Really difficult to separate the motor from the stick blender attachment. The speed dial much more difficult to use than older braun model it's replacing. Hate the two buttons for different speeds. It doesn't draw in food fro outside the circumference of the blending head as well as my previous model _ so often leaves lumps.
Pros: I like the style and the features, particularly the stainless steel blending attachment, rather than plastic.Cons: Bought this to replace a similar one which failed in just under two years, so inside the guarantee period. I do use this gadget a lot so it remains to be seen whether I was just unlucky, or the build quality needs improving.
Pros: Very versatile, doesn’t take up too much space. Thought it came with large cup/jug for smoothies but either I looked at wrong product or pic is deceptive. Can buy additional attachments though
Pros: I bought the Braun MQ5235 to purée quite thick leek and potato soup. I previously had to transfer the soup in batches to the table top blender which is quite powerful but struggled to cope and the motor kept needing a rest. I went for the powerful Braun MQ5235 and once I’d perfected the technique it blended the soup so easily in the pan and cleaning was a cinch compared to the table top blender. Very happy.
