Easy to use and tastes great. The instructions give very precise measurements for coffee/water, but as I'm not too fussy with my coffees, I found I could comfortably just wing it. I fill up the coffee to the top of the white filter, and gradually added water until the coffee was half submerged. I get my local coffee shop to grind the beans for me before buying, and I've found it uses the same coarser grind density as my stovetop bialetti which is convenient.I didn't have any issues with ordering/shipping but from what I saw Alternative brewing seems like a great local company. Was gonna buy from Amazon but AB's active youtube channel is what changed my mind, super informative and interesting, I really liked how they were responding to all sorts of coffee questions ... MoreEasy to use and tastes great. Purchased to feed my cold brew obsession once the weather turned too inhospitable for hot espresso last year. The Hario Brew Pot comes with a recipe that works quite well, and produces a cold brew that could be consumed as a concentrate for some, or just as it is for others - I don't have a problem, I swear.Fits nicely into a "tall" shelf in the fridge (think of where you would put your milk, wine, juice etc) while steeping, and doesn't dominate the space as much as larger brewers. The removable filter and spout on the carafe make it easy to decant and clean up - the opening of the carafe is a bit narrow for larger hands, but this easily fixed by using a bottle brush or bribing a bystander with some delicious cold brew. Overall a great cold brew solution for ... MorePurchased to feed my cold brew obsession once the weather turned too inhospitable for hot espresso last year. My Hario equipment came through very promptly & all in one piece. I am now making my third brew using the Hario 1litre pot. It makes really excellent coffee which is very smooth & has lots of flavour. The actual device is very well designed & is also very easy to clean. Having ready made coffee that can last for a good amount of time in your fridge is lovely especially on these hot days.

Hario Cold Brew Pot - super convenient.
9 April 2024

This is the easiest cold brew system I have used. Weight coffee straight into the basket. Drip the water through it into the pot. Stick it in the fridge door. When it’s done it’s time, pull the basket out and leave the pot in the fridge, ready to serve from as required. Basket washes out and dries easily.Easy to use means I have cold brew available more often:).

Hario Cold Brew Pot 1l

I was gifted a different brand of cold brew pot last year which I was never able to make a satisfactory brew with. So this year I decided to buy myself the Hario cold brew pot. It made a fantastic tasting brew first time, with no grind residue at all. Easy to use and get the perfect ratio of coffee grind to cold water after watching one of your online videos. Thank you!

This is perfectI can regulate the strength of my cold brew easily. It simply brews in the pot for a few hours in the fridge, then take out the diffusing basket, wash it out and put the litre of brewed coffee in the fridge door. It's always on hand, and a litre can last me nearly a week. (I do hot brew every morning as well!!)All in all - a great investment, and cheap!

Mizudashi Cold Brew Coffee Maker - Black, 1000ml

After using a larger, batch brew type cold brew device from OXO, I am thrilled with the quality of the Hario Mizudashi cold brew device. I appreciate the batch size and the fact that it takes up very little space in my refrigerator. The coffee filter is VERY EASY to clean as is the carafe. I also like that the finished product is ready to drink as opposed to a concentrate. I can't think of any way to improve the quality of this cold brew maker.

This is my second Cold Brew Pot I love it so much!

These are awesome quality and can be used for years with really good results. The glass is quality, and Alternative Brewing is good value and delivery is fast. Just make sure you clean them well and often. I did forget mine once for a few days and coffee grounds go mouldy and stain the mesh fast. I still use them after a good clean and disinfect but can never be rid of the stain now. That is my fault, not the product. Highly recommend Hario and Alternative Brewing.

Totally amazing light portable coffee maker - Green
8 February 2021

We have been so amazed at what this little coffee maker can do. We own an expensive La Pavoni professional machine at home, a Bellman for our camping holidays (fantastic also, thank you Alternative Brewing) and now with our family hiking in Victoria all over the place and two kids that drink coffee (yes they drink coffee, remember caffeine is in chocolate and soft drink too!) we needed something light to replace little jars of brewed coffee we were carrying that were heavy, and needed reheating. The Wacaco and additional bigger pod set has been the best buy. We load up the capsules for a day hike, or take some fresh ground coffee for overnight hikes. The espresso is amazing, we believe the crema is far superior to the one we make from our machine. If you are ... MoreWe have been so amazed at what this little coffee maker can do. The Wacaco and additional bigger pod set has been the best buy. We load up the capsules for a day hike, or take some fresh ground coffee for overnight hikes. The espresso is amazing, we believe the crema is far superior to the one we make from our machine. If you are considering this - dont think again. It is soooooo easy to use. For day hikes we take a small thermal bottle of hot water and another of heated milk. For overnight or longer hikes we take our tiny gas stove (360 degrees furno stove) and ground coffee and after a couple of minutes of heating water, we start making the coffee while the milk heats up (we use a sea to summit light weight foldable kettle). So easy. The coffee is amazing, hot fresh and clean up is easy. We are totally thrilled with the two sets we bought. Alternative Brewing once again have provided help when needed and their advice is always spot on. Thank you and please if you are thinking about this dont hesitate its amazing!

Very simple to get great results
11 February 2024

The Hario Cold Brew Pot (600ml) is very easy to use and clean up at the end. 50g of medium course ground coffee to 600g of cold water and into the fridge for 12 hours. The results have been very pleasing. I had always preferred the clarity of cold drip brewing, and worried that the mesh would give me sludge, maybe necessitating running the finished brew through a v60 paper, but this is not the case. Makes a clear cup very easy to produce (with less fiddling than the cold drip) and only a minute to get the brew prepared and into the fridge. Cleaning the filter is no mess, no fuss, as the bottom of it comes off for easy emptying.Very happy with this product.
