Overall this is a wonderful bench tool for those who don't want or cant afford a dedicated gooseneck kettle. The only issue is temperature control but as long as you preheat and fill to full the thermal mass usually puts you around 95-98c so it's fine.

I bought the V60 Drip Kettle AIR after watching James Hoffman's review on his Youtube channel. I don't have a proper drip kettle at home, so the AIR is a compact and cheap alternative. The spout works as advertised and the AIR holds enough water for 1 large cup of coffee or two small cups. You can of course keep refilling if you're making more coffee, but the water tends to cool down.

Okay, maybe not that simple, but it's the perfect size for simple pour overs. Light, compact and easy to read. I actually use mine as a microwavable milk container with my nanofoamer, so once you get a better kettle you can count on it still having a use.
I am enjoying my new Hario air pour over "kettle". It took a few tries for me to achieve control over the flow because it is literaly as light as air. Great product, especially if you have wrist or hand problems!
I love the Air Kettle. It is the perfect size to use at home for pour overs of all kinds, or while on the road/camping as well. My collapsible travel drip system fits inside perfectly, which is a bonus.The drip kettle is solid and super lightweight. The added control it provides is perfect for my application, but also the sound it creates due to the flow size, is ultra satisfying for some reason. An added bonus. I definitely recommend it, and will be looking to purchase more for family and friends.
Carrying this with a plastic V60 introduces a small slice of coffee luxury in my travels, without having to worry about breaking the delicate spout of a gooseneck kettle. You won't have the same kind of fine pouring stream control as a gooseneck, but you can still brew a delicious pourover that is infinitely better than drinking instant coffee from a dingy motel.
We got once of these for pourovers before investing in a gooseneck kettle. Nice to pour out of, although max temperature it would get to, even with pre-heating, was about 88 degrees. If it had a lid of some sort, it would probably retain heat more efficiently. Nice to water plants with as well!
If you don't have the budget for a electric pour over kettle this is a good option. Good control with flow and can use for travel!
If you don't have a variable temperature kettle for whatever reason, this is an inexpensive work-around. Fill it up right off the boil and let it cool while you prep your coffee and filter. I use 2.5-3 minutes off boil, but you'll find the zone for your kit with a couple of tweaks. Try it.
