The mundane object immediately evokes visions of an artist carefully and artfully conceiving and then physically creating the idea. The soft undulating curving geometry producing an object D'Art. Bravo and keep doing it. Many friends and family have commented favorably on my tea kettle. It's favorite my day-to-day cooking utensil.

The matte black finish on this kettle is absolutely beautiful!! It's smaller than I expected but efficient, very easy to control the water flow. When filled it's perfect for my 6cup chemex, but needs to be filled twice for my 10cup chemex. I will warn that it's silent, do not expect a whistle sound to let you know it is done. Becareful not to over fill and do not walk away while its on the stove. You will notice steam from the lid and spout when its ready to use. Other than its silence and size I love it, I would recommend it to a fellow coffee lover.Pros; Beautiful design & easy to control flowCons; small & silent

I previously owned a Chinese made imitation 'knock-off' model, purchased via Amazon. It was OK (until my wife boiled it dry) but certainly didn't have the 'fit & finish' of this Japanese made kettle. My only complaint is that I wish this kettle's top cover fit more snuggly (the Chinese one did). I also wish the middle hole in the cap was large enough to stick a thermometer in (Chinese one had a built-in thermometer). I realize I can purchase the separate cap, with digital thermometer for this kettle, but it's quite pricey. I was previously under the impression these kettles were only available via eBay/international sellers, so I was ecstatic to see Prima offered them stateside!
It's smaller than I expected! But that's okay, as it does a perfect job for a larger size 2 pour over. It'll boil the 600mls of water that you need. Pours nice too, and being smaller, probably boils faster than a larger kettle.
First gooseneck kettle for me, and I can’t see any reason why it won’t be my last. Made in Japan quality hopefully holds up. It heats up relatively quick with the right flame size, pours very smoothly, and looks good on the stovetop. Only downside is I have to be careful with flame size on gas stove not to burn the plastic handle and lid. I would probably buy this again even if it failed. 10/10 thanks!
Very well built. The handle is made from hard plastic and does not feel cheap. Really like the aesthetic of the curves. The stream is continuous and smooth. You can pour really slow and fast also if you want; does the job really well.

I also didn't want another small appliance to plug in on the counter. I did a lot of research and was between the Bonavita, Hario, and Fellow ketttles. The Bonavita isn't much of a looker. After picking up a Fellow kettle, it seemed like my stovetop was likely to melt the handle since its footprint was so small. The black Hario V60 Buono struck the right balance of still looking pretty sharp, but also being a good bet for function.After a couple weeks of use, it seems well made and I expect it to hold up well. This kettle does the job as advertised. Great pour from the spout. Keep in mind that is a faster pour than many other goosenecks so you'll need some practice to get it just right. Once you get the hang of it, it's perfect.It does not have any temperature indicator, but you can easily get around that by using a quick read electronic food thermometer. I found it does take a while to heat up on my gas range, so some patience is needed. However, all that is worth the ability to fully clean the kettle without worry about electronics and the satisfaction that there are basically no points of failure.
