A couple years ago I finally moved on from my Kermit to an easier setup to the more comfortable Helinox Camp Chair. Being somewhat bigger than the average person you can't imagine how thrilled I was when the Chair One XL was announced. Ordered and got mine right away. I do a lot of motorcycle camping and attend many rally's. I pull a trailer and now bring both chairs so I alway's have a place to sit along with any visitor who happens to stop by my camp. Many have noticed the bigger XL and many have had their butt in it. All have said they will have one for the next trip. I see now that there is a seat warming pad for the standard Chair One and hoping that at some point one will be made for the Chair One XL. You can be sure I will have one of the first one.

I purchased this chair for my fiancé who needs more back support in a chair. He is a taller guy so I went went the XL. This chair is easy to set up and let me tell you this chair is amazingly comfortable! Yes!!! I have sat in it as well!It’s very study and strong as well. I will definitely be making a second purchase for one my myself as well! Great for camping, the beach, wherever you may need to take a chair! Easy to take with you as well since it comes in a bag with straps!!!

I have over a dozen Helinox items, and this thing is awesome. I have about 5 years of use on my Chair One, with tons of places it has gone. I am on the heavier side (260 lbs and 6'2") and the Chair One XL takes things to a new level. The whole frame is beefed up much stronger, and the size of the chair allows you to relax and chill since it wraps around you completely. Hoping they will offer it in Multicam eventually. Packed size is the same as by Beach Chair, and the weight and pack size is the only downside, but is a compromise I willing to endure just to have this comfy chair.

I did my first BWCA (AKA multi-day remote canoe) trip a few years ago and was told one of these compact bag chairs was a must. Every option I found had a weight limit around 220-250. At the time I was about 290 and thought I was out of luck. Then I found Helinox. All the size specs were very close to the other options and the price was only a little more for much more weight capacity. I've used it on multiple camping trips and even random outings and get togethers because it's just that much smaller to carry. Last summer I lost one of the feet in some mud and didn't realize it right away (don't pack up a chair in the dark I guess) and lost it. Helinox service was fantastic to work with and hooked me up with a set of replacement feet. It’s a lot like our helinox one but bigger… it’s a good chair. They reinforce the fabric holds well. So I expect it will last. I am using it for camping with a car, so the extra weight and size isn’t a worry
I love this chair. It’s easy to put together, portable, spacious and comfortable. My only complaint is that in the winter, this chair is very cold to sit in since most of it is made of mesh. Cold air just blows right at your backside. Please make a seat warmer for the Helinox Chair One XL. Thank you!!
Great chair, seat material is thick, colors and pattern are even better in person. Metal is resilient. Glad I ordered this instead of one of the taller, narrower or smaller chairs.Unless you really need a lighter chair for carrying, if you weigh 250lbs or more get this one, you can spread your legs comfortably. Everyone who has sat in it so far likes it, and we're mostly large-sized guys.
This version is much bigger than the regular size Chair One but perfect if you're a bit bigger. My husband much prefers this one over the regular size. Not as good for hiking in places, but still a comfy and reliable chair. Definitely recommend.
I have the Chair One and XL - this one is extra comfortable and cozy.This is great for my husband who is 6’2 and finds the One a little too small.Quality is top notch as expected fromhelinox
Don't care, I'm taking it, lol. I'm 6'1" 290lbs. 49yrs old and knees getting bad. The Chair One wasn't bad, but when I sat in it the seat was a little tight, but losing weight would solve that. The real thing that bothered me was I felt like I was leaning back a bit too much and had to tilt my head forward. That would bother my neck after awhile so I returned it and tried the XL. The XL is bigger and PERFECT! Paid extra $25 for multicam so it matches my tent. Will buy $30 ground sheet. This makes it a $205 chair... looks like it's made very well, but for this price it better last, lol! I am buying another for my son.
