I have a dairy intolerance and, after having original mayonnaise on tuna etc for years I found that I was sadly unable to. This Vegan mayonnaise is a game changer. It’s thick and creamy and tastes EXACTLY like really good quality original mayonnaise. I absolutely love it. I’ve also tried the garlic version and that’s just as good. I don’t buy any other now so all the family use this one. One tip is make sure you buy the jar version and not the squeezy bottle as it’s so thick you end up with loads left over on the insides of the bottle. With a jar it’s much easier and cleaner.

I am a lifelong vegetarian and keen to try more vegan foods. The issue I have is that most vegan foods don't taste anywhere near as good as the regular version. This is an exception! It looks and tastes exactly like normal light mayo and can be used in the same way. Very pleasantly surprised. Would definitely recommend. My only gripe is brand name vegan food can be pricier but in this instance its worth it.

Firstly, to the big mayo lovers out there (I am one of them)I'll be honest... it's not the same.Did it bother me? No!Hellman's Vegan Mayo was absolutely delicious. I sampled one sachet with hot chips and it didn't disappoint with it's delcious taste and creamy texture. The second sachet I sampled was with a ham salad and again - really yummy. I'd be more than happy to put this on my shopping list as a mayo alternative. I really enjoyed it.

Very pleasant flavour with a siky texture. Slightly salty for my palate but otherwise very nice. I would probably choose in preference to traditional mayonnaise (if it's reduces carbon) and if I found it cheaper. If its more expensive I have to be honest then I would probably buy the ordinary Hellman's. However I have switched to the lower fat version. I've always preferred Hellman's to any other mayonnaise and brands.
As a lover of Hellmans regular Mayo, I was reticent to try something different. I’ve tried hellmans lighter options in the past and some are tolerable… the lightest option they have is so awful I’m surprised they can call it mayonnaise. So I was reticent to try this vegan version. However, to my shock, I could hardly tell the difference between this vegan version and the regular Hellmans Mayo that we all know and love. Definitely recommend! 👏
The vegan mayonnaise tastes okay, so it serves its purpose as a vegan alternative to traditional mayonnaise, but when I read the ingredients list online to see what was in it, I wasn't very impressed because you haven't put in any ingredients that stand out as special. In other words, the traditional recipe contains egg yolk which is the nice feature ingredient plus whatever fats and fillers you need to make the mayonnaise, but the vegan recipe is just the same fats and fillers minus the nice egg yolk ingredient. So where's the substitute nice ingredient? Could you not have replaced the yolk with something equally special such as avocado fat? Or maybe put coconut oil as one of the fats? At least one of those could be classed as a slightly more premium ingredient. ... We aren't vegan but try to limit dairy and meat consumption for multiple reasons. Wanted to try this for a while but didn't want to spare the expense in case we didn't like it so when we saw this sample offer we were very happy to try it. First tried just a bit on our finger and then tried it in a wrap. Really couldn't tell the difference at all. The only thing maybe if you really pay attention would be that it tastes a bit more oily but it's hardly noticeable. Going forward unless the price matches the regular mayonnaise we won't be making the switch because this one is more expensive and for a smaller container.
I’m not a vegan myself, and usually purchase Hellmann’s organic mayonnaise, but I thought I’d give these free samples a try. A bit thicker than a regular mayo, but in terms of taste and creaminess I was very impressed. I certainly didn’t think I was getting an inferior taste experience eating it. In fact if I hadn’t known beforehand I would have been none the wiser that it wasn’t the real deal. A quality product, for sure. If you’re vegan, happen to catch this on promotion, or can’t for whatever reason find regular Hellmann’s products, I’d have no issue replacing it with this variant.
