Helly Hansen Crew Midlayer 2 Jacket Blue L Man 34444_597-L

The jacket is great. As we enter fall and days reach 90 but nights fall into the 50s, a morning walk requires a jacket. The weight of this is perfect. I think it will also be good down to the high 30s and 40s and as a great layer below that. It is not heavy. It is light yet meets both needs. I think one of the keys may be that the lining is not sewn into the outer fabric shell so it creates an air barrier for higher effectiveness. The lining in this is soft and comfortable Even the standing collar is lined. The end of the sleeves Velcro shut tightly and there are two drawstrings in the hips so you can make it ride high on your hips like a bomber jacket. I’ve received a number of complements on the look. I have the navy. Great jacket!! Runs a little tight under the ... MoreThe jacket is great. As we enter fall and days reach 90 but nights fall into the 50s, a morning walk requires a jacket. Disclosure: I work part time as a sailing instructor at a community sailing center and received a discount on this jacket through my employer and Helly Hansen. I’m very grateful to HH for offering this discount to our organization. This jacket is one of the most comfortable I’ve ever worn. “Mid-light weight” I’d call it - too warm for the summer, but any amount of cool in the air and this jacket is on. I was dry and comfortable for a whole, cool spring day soloing a 33’ sloop. The high collar is a huge assets that helps keep you snug while the hood fits perfectly without blocking vision, which is great. The four pockets are appropriate, plus fleece-lined to keep your hands warm.My ONLY complaint is the branding. There are six HH labels on the outside plus a seventh on the hang tag inside. I would feel more comfortable with the one or two labels most manufacturers seem to have. Other than this gripe the jacket is truly amazing and I highly recommend it.

I bought these jackets for the Imperial College Sailing Club and we got them branded by an external company. When I went to pick these jackets up from the printers it started raining. Naturally, I put on my H/H jacket and was immediately impressed by the beading of the water droplets on the surface - These things are really water repellent! However, it is quite a light jacket yet the fleece lining gives it high degree of warmth and comfort. The fleecy pockets are a treat and there's a useful internal pocket in the left pocket area.Things to note:- Only the top half of the sleeves are fleece lined so the sleeves aren't too thick and there's not too much friction helping you put on a jumper without the sleeves rolling up- IMPORTANT: there's actually an internal ... MoreI bought these jackets for the Imperial College Sailing Club and we got them branded by an external company. We didn't realise this at the time and got our logos screen printed (the printers did a really bad job and they're peeling off but that's not H/H's fault) so YOU CAN GET YOUR JACKET EMBROIDERED!All our members are really happy with their jackets - we wear them both on and off the water with no problems (one of our members took his jacket skiing in France). These jackets are better value for money and look much nicer than Musto/Henri Lloyd/Gill alternatives. Thank you H/H!
