Where to start on this I was going to split into pro’s and con’s but there are just not enough pro’s to warrant that. It’s well made as are all HH products I own, the material is the same as a rain jacket I own along which does a good job of keeping me dry. The hood is warm, and The faux fur feels good but that about all that’s good. The fit is small, I have 3 smaller sized HH jackets and all are bigger than this, I bought bigger so I could layer if required and trust me when I say you will need to layer. The insulation, well when I find the installation I’ll answer that question, the coat is paper thin and my HH rain jacket is thicker and has a micro fleece liner and warmer at half the price. This can not be used as a winter jacket on it’s own with a shirt or ... MoreWhere to start on this I was going to split into pro’s and con’s but there are just not enough pro’s to warrant that. It’s well made as are all HH products I own, the material is the same as a rain jacket I own along which does a good job of keeping me dry. I wore the coat over a t-shirt in the UK in 7C/45F and although I wasn’t cold, I certainly wasn’t warm. The fleece Lined pockets kept my hands warmer than the body did. Also there is no internal pocket as stated it is an exterior pocket, but that is quite deep.As much as I want too as I like HH products I can’t recommend this product despite the quality of workmanship, it won’t prevent me from ordering in the future from HH but it will make me wary of the description. As the word warm, in my opinion, shouldn’t be used in conjunction with this coat and the fact it say it’s a winter coat is dependent on what you class as winter.

Exactly what I needed and wanted.

I have not been able to test this out fully since winter has been "deferred" or delayed here in New York/Long Island and even here in the US in 2019/2020. However in 30s F temps and rain and wind it felt fantastic, evenly warm, and not restrictive (cut well) I have two other HH sailing and offshore jackets but wanted this for casual and even business travel (wearing a sports coat for example) so the longer car coat length is exactly what I needed.Construction, zippers, and material are spot on. Jacket is nice and light. Use the size checker and don't fudge your shape and size. I am 5 ft 9 inches and 202 large chest (swimmer) but a little budda belly. Sizer said low XL and I went with and L.........I am not an L. The jacket is well manufactured and I particularly like that it is a lined jacket. Good fit however I had to move up a size to L (177cm tall 104cm chest). Repels water very well, perhaps hasn't the breathability of HH higher priced jackets but performs well as an urban rain jacket. Pleased with the purchase.

Great rain jacket!
27 April 2019

I bought this jacket about a month ago for outdoor seasonal work in Southeast Alaska. It has proven to be the best rain jacket I've ever purchased. The rubberized surface of the jacket is the absolute best and keeps me completely dry! I've already experienced days of heavy rain and this jacket stands up to the test. I am 5'4, 113 lbs. and bought the small size, which proved very spacious and provided more than ample room for layering underneath. I also appreciate that the jacket hangs a little lower than the hips, as these extra couple of inches seem to really make a difference in keeping my legs a little drier. The only potential downside is that there are no arm vents to stay cool in warmer weather, but that has not been an issue for me in the moderate climate of ... MoreI bought this jacket about a month ago for outdoor seasonal work in Southeast Alaska. So I normally couldn't afford a Helly Hansen Jacket but this one was in the John Lewis sale. Been looking for a decent waterproof jacket for walking the dogs with and I have found the perfect. It's light and comfortable with enough pockets for the essentials things for dog walking. Glad it was in the sale!!!

The jacket is awesome. It is the only coat that keeps me dry in rainy weather. It’s also yellow and yellow is the color of chicks when they have just hatched. When I wear it, I feel like chirping with joy. Thank you Moosejaw. This jacket is the best. I love Moosejaw. Your customer service is solid, and you always deliver on time.

It's not just cute, it really works!
28 October 2021

This is my second Helly Hansen Moss Jacket and I love it! I literally worn the first one out. I live in Oregon, and umbrellas are for wusses. My dog and I walk three to five miles every day, so I need a coat that keeps me dry in any kind of rain shower, and in Oregon, we get them all. This coat is light weight, but heavy duty. I buy it one size larger so I can layer over sweaters and coats. I've never had a problem with the zipper or snaps, and the hood truly keeps my head dry. I hated throwing my old red one away, but I love my new yellow one. It makes me feel cute too!

Nice but?

I bought this Parka for walking on the beach in winter. It is a nice coat, well made looks good and will I'm sure last a long time but it has some annoying issues for me. Inside at the top of the main zip is a small vertical flap which invariably manages to foul the zip every time, its real fiddle to get the zipper past this every time. I'm considering cutting this out. There is NO bottom hem draw cord to stop the wind blowing up the jacket making an otherwise warm jacket cold. The cuff adjustments are not able to pull the cuffs tight around my wrists, velcro would have been better than 2 pop studa for more adjustment. The fur around the hood does tend to get in my eyes and mouth so had to take it off. Last the neck (for me is too tight to allow anything underneath ... MoreI bought this Parka for walking on the beach in winter. Perfect Jacket
24 November 2019

Just moved from a moderate climate to one with cold winters. When the forecast had a -25C windchill, I went online and bought the Dubliner. I had tried some other HH jackets on in the store and XL was too big bulky and L was too short. At 6'4 and 200 lbs with a lean build a large tall usually fits best. Anyway, I took a chance and this jacket fits perfect. Quality is very high, the cut is very comfortable, jacket is not bulky and still feels good even with a puffy underneath on very cold days. Hood is the perfect depth and faux fur keeps the snow and wind out. Zippers are high quality and the snaps (not velcro) at the cuffs fit snugly over my gloves. Totally windproof and handled wet snow very well. Overall, great looking and comfortable jacket that lives up to its ... MoreJust moved from a moderate climate to one with cold winters. The perfect raincoat!
31 July 2021

Fits as described. I need a fisherman style raincoat because I go on a lot of hikes and adventures rain or shine. Also, yellow is my absolute favourite colour and this matches my fisherman style rainboots. It also comes with a little repair patch. I’ve tested it out in some heavy rainfall and aside from my own sweat, I was perfectly dry underneath. This does not have vents like those technical rain coats so I suggest wearing this in cooler weather and not those crazy hot rainstorm days.
