I love all aspects of this midlayer jacket. It wears true to what HH describes; "warm, women's cut, windproof." It's a versatile jacket for performance and style. It's also very lightweight, which makes it the perfect jacket for traveling. I am usually a AU12 but I got a LG to accomodate the extra layer, we live in a cold area of Australia, where I am outside a lot looking after horses. Fabric allows me to wipe off mud from horses rugs. I would get a smaller size if I was riding in the Jacket for a snugger fit. I use this as a yard and walking dog jacket. Cut well, sits nicely on the shoulders and doesn't constrict movement.

I love my H/H jackets (parka and a lightweight fleece) but I didn't have a midlayer one so I purchased this in navy. I read everyone's reviews before deciding to go with the Large size. My ski parka is a large and I figured, it will fit like the parka. My assumption was wrong. The hooded midlayer's arms are a smidge too long (I am 5'5) but the cut of the jacket in the chest when I fully zip it up, it literally flattens my chest. I decided to keep the Large because if I up-sized, it would probably fit better in the chest but be way too big everywhere else. I did received compliments on the jacket the first time I wore it out. I love the classic colors just wish the cut was a bit better in the chest.

I was really happy when I received my coat. It's so difficult to find plus size sportswear. Great quality product, the fitting is quite flattering and I received tons of compliments on my new coat! However, they are made really small. I bought a bigger size to make sure it fits, and I'm glad I did. I usually wear 2X, and I bought the largest size, 4X, which is a perfect fit. So make sure to check the measurements before buying. I wish they would offer more colours though, all larger size coats are only available in black. I'm glad this one was also offered in white! Would definitely recommend.

August 9th, 2015Outer Island race in Chester Nova Scotia, approximately a 5 hour race, raining with a constant down pour , mostly light winds with a temperature of plus 16-17., speed 7+- knots. Crewing on a 36ft C&C named Bazinga out of the Nova Scotia Royal Yacht Club.I wore the midlayer with only a t-shirt underneath for five hours under constant rainfall with only a few quick breaks down below. I noticed most crew were changing often with wet shirts underneath other well known brand jackets, I checked to see if I was wet underneath several times and to the very end of the race the rain did not penetrate this jacket , nor did water run down my neck and most of all I did not feel the wind or have chills. I highly recommend this jacket . Jacket seems to fit true to size. If you like a bit more roominess or want to have the option of wearing another layer then get the size up. I’m 5”3 and 130. The large felt better and I had more range of motion. The Med would be fine if I had no other layers except a T-shirt.The white jacket with the colored zip pulls is nice. I got the red hooded jacket and wish Helley Hanson had different colored zip pulls and a bit more colors with the red jacket like the white one has.Overall I like the jacket. I do find it a bit pricey.

I contacted HH prior to ordering to determine best guess at a fit. I ordered three of these jackets to try them out (this is my first HH product), but sadly none worked. I found the jacket fit small and had to size up several sizes. The 3X was very snug I could do it up but no hope of fitting anything beneath it. The 4X was also quite snug but seemingly not much different than the 3. The 5X on the other hand, was a huge jump in spaciousness. This one fit well around the torso - albeit a little too loose - but was several inches too short for me. It felt a bit like a crop jacket. 10 years ago my family and I went to Disney World and I bought a HH jacket from Epcot. It is baby blue and I love love it. My daughter is now 15 and recently found my jacket. Well needless to say it was gone for good! She wears “her” jacket everywhere! For Christmas I bought her the midlayer that is insulated. You would of thought she won the lottery. It is a sharp white that has lots of zippers for storage and a hidden hoodie. Her favorite part of the jacket is when she wears her hair in a ponytail and the HH shows. No one in her school has this jacket and she loves showing it off.
Although I bought the style color & size I thought my wife wanted I was wrong. However, returning and replacing it with desired attributes was simple & straight forward. Customer service people were knowledgeable & intuitive. The HH description of style, fit & function were correct. The HH size finder algorithm accurate. The jacket construction was sturdy & showed attention to used and durability.
