I always read the 1-3 star reviews before buying a product just to see what issues people have. Good reviews don't seem to help as those people are happy with the product. This is a five star so if you are not reading this, then not a big deal. I am overall happy with the product and Sweetwater is as always an excellent source for my guitars and accessories. Stands are already assembled and ready for use. Bought five and all are level on the floor and everything is as described with the product. As always, a happy customer. I was looking at cheaper priced stands; however, I am glad I went with the Hercules brand.

Just what I needed. Keeps your guitars at hand, leading to them being played more often. Doesn't take up much space, as opposed to hanging a bunch of guitars on the wall. I subtracted a star because the extra holders should be included and not be a "bonus". It should also include more foam bumpers for the bottom rail to more effectively isolate the guitars from each other. That would cost the manufacturer very little and increase customer satisfaction. Still recommend it though.

The Hercules guitar rack is a well designed and solid piece of equipment. I have owned several racks in the past that were flimsy, warped, and just plain unreliable to trust with my beloved guitars. When it comes to purchasing a guitar rack, the age-old saying of "you get what you pay for" certainly comes into play. The Hercules stands are a bit more pricey, but I believed to be worth every bit of the price. The main thing is that it is solid. There is very little wobble even when loaded with heavy electric guitars. Even though I will not be using it for acoustic guitars, I put 5 of my acoustic guitars on it just to see if it would accommodate them, and of course, it did. The padding is sufficient to protect both the body and neck of your guitars. While I cannot speak of its longevity, I feel confident in saying that it will be around a long time. I own several single Hercules guitar stands, and they have lasted a long time. All in all, I believe the Hercules guitar stand does Homage to the legendary hero it's named after.

Was skeptical when I bought this stupid deal of the day but I love this thing. No real setup needed. Doesn't appear to put marks on guitars. The term "expansion pack" is a little misleading - you get two extra hangers and a couple foam thingies to add to the rack but it's big enough to use em (they simply attach over the bars - you don't even have to take it apart or anything). I've currently got multiple electric and acoustic guitars on mine and it does a great job. Just be careful not to bang your guitars together when taking em off or putting em back; they do sit pretty close together. All in all exactly what I was looking for.
I was looking for a multi-guitar stand for a while, but wasn't looking to spend a lot of money on one. This stand was offered as a Stupid Deal of the Day, so I took a chance on it. It was delivered promptly, which was great, and it came completely assembled, which was also great, but in the end it just wasn't what I wanted. The neck supports aren't padded, so your instruments are leaning against plastic, and there's nothing to secure them in place. This is fine if you have inexpensive guitars, but I was fearful somebody could walk past it, accidently bump my Les Paul, and then catastrophy would strike. Also, when I put my Fender Jazz on the stand, the long neck of the bass combined with the angle it sits at on the stand meant that I needed to scoot the whole thing ... There is nothing wrong with this product, and it will problably be just fine for most people, but I would prefer something with a little more padding for the neck support and a little more security.
I looked at cheaper guitar stands but so many bad reviews. But then I thought how much my guitars were worth to me.No competition having looked at the Hercules 5 guitar stand but thinking of the cost I kept looking at inferior products but then sense prevailed in the end.I thought back to when my daughter was a baby and I wouldn’t have got her a cheap car seat so why put my other babies in something cheap and nasty, no real comparison I know, but guitar owners will understand. So get the best get Hercules for a little more cost you will have piece of mind and not be woken at night with every small sound thinking that your babies have fallen out of bed.I’ve now ordered and received an extra support for number six, my partner asked why so I quickly started talking ... I've had one of these for 3 or 4 years and it's always done the job. It's sure-footed, won't fall over and if you're taking it to a gig it's lightweight and folds up nice, so very portable.I have two complaints, both minor. The little collars or yokes that cradle the headstocks of the instruments don't stay in place that well. On one hand this is good because you can adjust the angle of each one to suit each instrument. However if you're using this rack for smaller stringed instruments like ukuleles or mandolins which aren't large enough for the weight to rest on the bottom rail, the tension of the yoke is NOT sufficient to hold an instrument up on its own. It will rotate and your instrument will fall out unless you do something to fix the yoke in place. I ... MoreI've had one of these for 3 or 4 years and it's always done the job. It will rotate and your instrument will fall out unless you do something to fix the yoke in place. I fastened a zip tie around the yoke and pulled it as tight as I could with pliers and that fixed the issue. My second gripe is even more minor but at least on the one I bought the foam "piping" that runs along the bottom rails where your instruments rest is not one piece for each rail, it's made of a few smaller pieces and they're not as long as the rails themselves so the foam will slide back and forth leaving gaps between your instruments. I used duct tape to keep the piping from sliding around.So... this rack is rock solid and super portable for gigging or for a casual jam space or recording setup - but to get mine to really function properly I needed zip ties and duct tape which gives a fairly shabby overall appearance. So if you were looking for something to display instruments on, look elsewhere.
I’d reached the point of having lots of the little A frame stands and they were taking up too much space so wanted 1 stand for them all. It’s possible to get cheaper stands than this but it’s extremely well made and comes fully assembled unlike cheaper stands. You could get 5 acoustic guitars in, or maybe more electric guitars if you bought extra neck collars. Happy with my purchase
And I really like the smaller footprint of being able to put five guitars in one place and this fit the bill perfectly. The only thing I wasn't expecting was that the upper arms that hold the neck are rubber and don't have foam around them. I'm not sure it's really that big of a deal, but it was just something I noticed. I'm wishing I would've bought two, but when it comes around again, on the stupid deal of the day, I'll probably buy another one. This included two extra slots that I can add to put two more guitars, but it would be very tight, putting seven guitars in the stand. I currently have three electrics and two acoustics and fits everything perfectly.
I have several single guitar stands and I've seen these multiple stands advertised before but really never thought about getting one until recently and I have to say it's excellent. Easy to assemble and it works perfectly in my little studio area. It gives me the ability to have several different guitars within reach and it holds them securely. Also saves on clutter of multiple stands. Great for band situations as well
