Herpecin L Lip Protectant SPF 30 0.10 oz ( Pack of 3)

Really does provide everyday protection! I am allergic to many lip items and cannot use lip balms. I tried this because I wanted to try something with SPF and this does the trick and works for those of us that have lip allergies. Do not put on too much as it will leave your lips white but it’s a balm and the whole family can use!

Herpecin is my GO-TO cold sore remedy and I never want to be without it. I swear it’s the reason why I hardly even get cold sores anymore. Its that good. So imagine my disappointment when I discovered Walmart doesn’t even carry Herpecin L anymore. What the heck, Walmart?!? I had to order it and it took 3 days to get to me. 3 days! Even waiting an hour is too long when you feel that tingle coming on. Since then, I've seen Herpecin at Dollar General, CVS and Walgreens. Guess I'll be going to one of those places from now on. Do better Walmart.

Best option out there

It really is the only thing that keeps the cold sore from coming out. I wish I didn’t get them, but as long as I start putting this on right when I feel it,and it helps lessen it and sometimes even keeps it from coming out. The other products you see are just lidocaine to keep the pain down. But this takes away the discomfort and even keeps it from popping up.

I love this product! I get cold sores from the sun and Herpecin products are always soothing to my lips. The price is very economical especially when matched with similar products. Definitely helps my lips

Faster recovery and relief from an outbreak

This product helps any outbreak heal faster and provides relief from the painful sore. I've tried other products and that just haven't worked as well as Herpecin. I keep it on hand in case I feel a tingling around my mouth, I apply Herpecin and the symptoms don't linger long and if an outglbreak occurs it heals faster, normally within 3-5 days.

Good, but something changed

I've been using Herpecin L for years to prevent cold sores. It is 100% effective at that for me, but something in their formula seems to have altered lately. The product is still just as effective, but I'm noticing more and more that it doesn't hold its shape as well anymore and breaks apart until it's just chunks in a tube. I'm not sure what changed, aside from the packaging which is no big deal, but wish the stuff would stop breaking apart and hold its shape like it used to do. So for that reason, I gave it 4 stars. But in terms of effectiveness, it's still a 5-star product in that regard.

I LOVE THIS STUFF!

Not only did it work quickly to ward off a cold sore as soon as I felt the tingle, but it makes my lips so soft and smooth. The sunscreen protection is so very important for our lips. I've got one in my purse and one on my desk now. Love applying this everyday throughout the day. No need for a very expensive lip sunscreen anymore or an expensive daily balm. This does it all!

I HAVE USED HERPECIN LIP BALM FOR YEARS AS I AM SUSCEPTICAL TO COLD SORES AND HAVE HAD THEM FOR 78 YEARS ,AM 86 NOW. HERPECIN HELPED ME PREVENT COLD SORES FROM DRY LIPS, SUN, COLD, AND PEOPLE THAT HAD COLD SORES.. I WAS UNABLE TO GETHERPECIN WHEN I MOVED BACK TO PRINCETON, MN. POST COVID PERHAPS. IN HAYWARD, WI.. NO PROBLEM GETTING IT. I L;OVE IT BUT THE TASTE IS NOT THE MOST P;EASANT.

I have not found out why cold sores happen but let me tell you what when I stumbled upon this product last year I was thinking no way this could be better than Abreva but I also didn't feel like spending $20 again and I would still have to go through 5 days with a cold sore Abreva wasn't doing anything!!! I was so self-conscious I felt like everything I did someone was staring at my lip! do not second-guess with anyone else listen to me buy this and I promise you won't regret it you will be thanking me and everyone else that recommended this product great product!!!! it's only been 24 hours and it's almost gone and it help the pain that is associated with a cold sore !!!
