I've fallen in love with my new Hestan pans (veteran All-Clad user here). My favorite part are the shapes. The 6qt. Rondeaus is the perfect size and shape for all my stews, braises. The 2qt Saucepan is so versatile in its wider shape. I would like to see the pan walls to be thicker -- creme anglaise I made in it scorched almost scorched on the bottom before it was ready.

Awesome pan! I love to braise and make stews but never had the right size cookware to fit my needs. My stockpot has plenty of room for liquid, but so little surface area that I had to either brown the meat in many batches, or whip out another pan to do this. After looking high and low, I finally found my dream braiser with this 9qt rondeau! Nice and wide for browning and I can even fit lamb shanks or a whole chicken. I was going to get the universal lid but found that my NanoBond 5qt saute lid fit perfectly. I see they sell this 12.5" lid separately now for anyone who wants a snug lid for oven braising. Overall, I'm really impressed! It heats really evenly for such a big size and I can't wait to create more family style dishes.
This is my first Rodeaus and I'm thrilled with the quality of it. I made our family recipe for meatballs in the rondeaus. It was so much better than making them in the stockpot that I have been using. The quality of the rondeaus is excellent. Cleanup was a breeze. It is also very well designed.
I used this recently to make a braised chicken dish with a tomato and stock base. Getting an entire cutup chicken into a suitable pan is often challenging. The size of this rondeau with its tall sides was perfect for my needs and the Hestan quality was there as always. The blessing in disguise is the ease with which it cleans afterwards. Highly recommended
I purchased this pan because I was tired of the quality of the one I had and I wanted something that would last the rest of my life and allow me to stop adding to the landfill. This did not disappoint! From the box arriving on time, beautifully and carefully packaged, expertly crafted and great cooking and clean up capabilities, this is a great purchase. I love the detail of the handles, flush rivets and it cleaned up with no elbow grease needed.
On very first use two black spots appeared on the bottom. I took a picture and emailed it to customer support almost 2 weeks ago with no response. Have used the pan a few more times since with no complaints. It’s lighter in weight than I expected but seems to perform well despite its lightweight. I use both electric and induction.
Pan was just ok. This happened on its first use. See pic. Worst part is Hestan customer service is non-responsive. And it funny….this is my 3rd review, my first 2 are nowhere to be found. I’m sure this one won’t make it to public view either.
