Hestra - Army Leather Heli Ski 5-finger - Grey - 7 - Skihandschoenen

I have the Hestra Falt Guide Gloves and absolutely love them. Amazing comfort and very durable. I thought I would try these Army Leather Heli Ski gloves out for multiple different snow activities including riding my Fat Bike. Again, these do not disappoint. Amazing feel to the gloves. My hand size is 9.5" or 24cm circumference and I went with the XL. The fit and comfort is excellent although the fingers are just a tad long for me, but nothing to fret about. The extra space is welcomed on the bike. Plus, the glove will naturally shrink a bit over time with wet / dry cycles. Obviously I'll condition the leather. I love the removable liner and size of the gauntlet. I won't buy gloves that don't have a removable liner anymore. I like to X-country ski for recreation. I live in New Jersey, hardly The Great White North as far as cold, but I have been searching for any kind of glove or mitten that would keep my hands warm from the start. I'm still looking. These pricey mitts are no better than nearly any other type --- several types of "ski" gloves or even ragg wool gloves with leather palms --- that I've tried. Like all the others, my fingers freeze in these Hestras for the first twenty minutes of skiing 'til my body temp rises, so I have to stop and curl my fingers into my palm to warm them. It was also a disappointment that Hestra makes these in China; I had assumed for the price that they'd be made in Sweden. I truly wonder what gloves ski racers, both downhill and cross country, wear ... MoreI like to X-country ski for recreation. I've heard a lot of high praise of Hestras and finally decided to spend the money on a nice pair. So far they have stood up to the expectations. I get super cold and these mittens are very good at warming my hands up. Even if I leave them in my cold car I can put them on and they will quickly warm up my hands. The removable liner is super convenient for washing and the outer shell is very durable and the waterproof capabilities on these are insanely good - my hands have been nowhere near getting wet.I use these when driving (although they are definitely a little bulky for that) and skiing.If you are not planning on using these gloves in the snow then I wouldn't recommend them just because the wrists are designed to be super large to keep out snow so it would ... MoreI've heard a lot of high praise of Hestras and finally decided to spend the money on a nice pair.
