Just purchased this HexClad nonstick wok not too long ago. The wok is so pretty and very well made. I’s easy to clean. Even though it’s non stick, the instruction recommends to use small amount of oil to season the wok before first use, and this hybrid wok will perform better and better overtime as it continues to season. I already cook some dishes with this wok and it’s non stick with great heat distribution. The wok is not too heavy and also not too light neither which is great. It comes with lifetime warranty from HexClad. This wok is dishwasher safe, I have not tried placing it in dishwasher yet as other wok/pots from other brands were damaged when I placed in dishwasher even they’re labeled as dishwasher safe. Purchased on sale on Walmarts deal days for a $42 discount. Upon opening, the item is definitely not new. It smells of rancid oil and there’s what looks like maybe something small was burnt in the pan (see attached), and possibly has some scrape/scratches from id guess metal utensils! Did not even wash, season, or use it, so I can’t speak to its function. The Walmart customer service was great, but they were not able to replace the pan due to the item being out of stock after the sale. Hoping they’ll honor the sale price once the item is back in stock, as promised. After speaking to customer service, I ended up trying to wash the pan in hopes maybe it was some type of film from production but it definitely isn’t going away and seems more like a burn mark.

This pan worked qell for about a month. Now everything sticks. Scrambled eggs? FORGET IT! You will be soaking, scrubbing and scrapping. Per the instructions I seasoned the pan upon receipt and continued to season from time to time. I own cast iron pans and am accustomed to seasoning. Everything sticks all the time now. Also the pan has developed a warp in the middel. I have never submerged this pan while hot or put cold liquid into it while cooking. I tried to submit a warranty claim and they came back to basically say that normal use is not covered. What a shame as I liked the design and wished that this pan worked. I recently purchased a Ninja Foodi non stick and it is fantastic. Best part is I can buy 4 of those for the price of this piece of garbage. Save your ... MoreThis pan worked qell for about a month. This hybrid wok is a gorgeous and solid piece of cookware. Even the packaging is top-notch from the box to the custom drawstring bag that the wok comes in. You will want to follow the instructions for seasoning the wok prior to first use. I made steak in the wok, and it performed exceptionally well. I really like how you can use it like a cast iron skillet and that it's made for stovetop and oven cooking. Unlike the traditional cast iron skillets, this cookware is lighter weight and more beautiful. I also like that you can use metal utensils and heavy-duty cleaning tools with it without causing any damage. There was discoloration around the rim and quite a char created on the bottom of the wok from cooking the steak. However, with some "elbow grease" and a scouring pad, I was able to get it cleaned up and restored back to its original beauty. Overall, this hybrid cookware is sturdy and is suitable and versatile for cooking steaks, Asian recipes, and so much more.
The center part of the wok has non-uniform pattern and lacks the silver "hex" shape dots elsewhere has, fresh out of the box. So far we have had this Wok for over a month and we have been really happy with it. FYI, it’s semi nonstick which we were aware of before getting it. If you use a little oil when cooking you will be fine. It’s been easy to clean. We love cooking with it. This is only our opinion. We like it so far. We use it a lot. Personally happy with our purchase. But definitely do your research and keep expectations reasonable. Every cookware is different.
This 10” wok was a bonus to the pan/lid set I ordered. The lid for the 10” fry pan also fits this wok. Used one of the pans to make a steak. That was absolute perfection and the result I get from my cast iron skillet. Same result but lower temp which was surprising. I haven’t used this wok yet but expect similar results. The 10” is the perfect size wok. Very excited about hexclad and very happy to ditch my nonstick pans.
HexClad 10 Inch Hybrid Stainless Steel Wok is a top quality wok. It is easy to care for, it does need to be seasoned. It is dishwasher, cooktop and oven safe up to 500 degrees F. Metal utensils can be used and it can be scrubbed if need be. So far everything I have coked in it has not really stuck and cleanup has been a breeze. I have a gas stove and it cooks evenly have not had anything burn or scorch. The handle does not get hot, and is very sturdy and easy to use. This is one of the nicest woks I have ever used and I would highly recommend.
This HexClad Wok is kinda amazing. It's made with a new technology that uses properties of non stick and stainless pans combined. It has little ridges built into the surface of the pan that raise up a tiny bit whatever food you are cooking. Below the ridges are the non stick ceramic parts. I sauted a boneless skinless chicken breast with the residual oil from seasoning the pan, 1 teaspoon. It came out golden brown, cooked through and didn't stick. I tried to fry an egg with no oil/butter at all and it didn't work. So, if you're expecting it to be 100% non stick, this pan is not for you. The directions say you do need a tiny amount of oil. I love that you can put the whole thing in the over. Also, dishwasher safe! I sauteed some peppers and onions and noticed the ... MoreThis HexClad Wok is kinda amazing. I sauteed some peppers and onions and noticed the heat was even throughout the bottom of the pan and even up the sides of the wok as well. It wiped out super easy, no scrubbing! It's large size 10 inch doesn't stop me from cooking for only 2 people since it's so easy to use and clean up. The sides are not as tall as a traditional wok though.
Wow! What a beautiful, hefty, deep pan. It has a great feel to it and is nicely balanced with a long, sturdy, riveted handle. This is my first HexClad pan, and I washed and seasoned it as directed. I cooked up a quick stir fry easily, and nothing stuck, not even the scrambled egg. I then made a grilled cheese, and the bread browned beautifully. The pan wiped clean with almost no effort. I love the versatility of this pan. It works on an induction range, as well as an electric or gas range, and is oven safe up to 500 degrees. This pan is quickly becoming a workhorse in my kitchen.
