We have little glowlights tetras that are so tiny still and they can't eat the foods the other fish can eat so we got baby brine for frozen food time at night and we needed flake food for the mornings so I found these to try. The glowlights love them and can eat them easily. They are growing more now that they have food to fit their little mouths. These pellets float and slowly sink over time and are of a pinkish red color that is easily seen in the tank. They are supposed to be balanced nutritional for smaller community fish. A small pinch out of the bag will fill the tank with so many pellets so be careful when feeding. We feed extra because our bigger fish want in on them too so a pinch gets the glowlights plenty and the big fish a snack. We do frozen/freeze dried for optimal color in our tanks but like our flake food to nutritional sound but also enhance colors and this claims to do so also. It's a small bag that is packed full of micro pellets and we paid 4.49 for the bag and it will go a really long way.

Most importantly, my picky blue delta betta loves these. It is the only food he comes to the top for before I even put them in the tank. The rest of my fish and shrimp make these pellets disappear within a few minutes as well. The micro pellets work very well in the Co-Op autofeeder and are pretty uniform in shape so they don't clog up the opening. They also sink fairly slow so the mid-water feeders get a chance to eat some as well.

I have tried vibrobites. They are great but a little too big for Danios. I have tried the flake food but everyone knows that is easy to muck up the water if you are not careful. I have tried grinding up goldfish nuggets but that was time and energy consuming. Then I tried these Micro pellets. They are the perfect size for Danios and the like with small mouths. The food is easily scoopable with a small measuring spoon or pinchable. The food floats until it hits something to agitate it like the HOB filter waterfall. Then it sinks. It's fun to watch my fish go nuts and snatch them out of the water column like a shark attack.I have gone through 6 packs of this food and I probably will never replace it for my small fish if I don't have to.

These pellets are great. They sink slowly and do not dissolve in the water before they are eaten. My Glow-light Tetras really go for these high quality pellets. All of the several foods I’ve tried from the Aquarium Coop have been well received by my aquatic critters. Thank you AC for being such a great company and offering such wonderful products.
My tetra's try to eat these 'micro pellets' and spit them back out again. Pellets are too big for them, and I have to grind them between finger and thumb to make them smaller, which they then eat. My tetra's are about 2-3 years old, so aren't babies. I won't be grinding the food for the entire pack so it's going back to to the store. The recipe has changed, because I used to buy this particular food prior to the last purchase and bought something else out of necessity. Very disappointed. '
The picture on the package from your product listing is the same product I have been using in the past. But, when I received the pellets, it is for most tropical fish The pellets are all one color, as is the difference between the two types Hikari makes. Or do they only make one kind now??? I wanted the multi colored brand that is for Tropical fish, but as I said, The product label I received says it's for Most Tropical Fish. Look at your catalog picture and then compare it with what you are sending out. Wish I could have had the multi colored pellets.
These sink and float. So for fish that like pellets its great. Some of my fish only eat floating pellets while others eat sinking ones. This works out great as it keeps from one fish from eating all the food. Ive never seen a fish dislike this product. Ive used this product in the past and present and would highly recommend, especially for Bettas
