Hill's Science Diet Adult Healthy Mobility Small Bites Dry Dog Food

We have used this product and loved every bit of it except for the price. I'm not saying it's not worth the price given but we just couldn't keep affording it. I also found our dogs don't really care for the taste. I mean or dogs are beyond picky but the ones that died eat it I've noticed a difference in weight, cost color, etc. I would honestly recommend this to those who can afford it because it truly is a great product but with allot of prices on items going up lately we couldn't keep affording to buy it. Love the product though.

It's an okay food. I bought it because it is really tiny bites which is perfect for my 4lb chihuahua. I was looking for something with high protien without alot of fillers, this has more than I thought. It's alright and will continue using it until I find a better replacement food. Any suggestions would be appreciated. He has skin problems so I supplement food with fish oil, with contaminated removed of coarse, that's something to watch for. My dog really likes the flavor of this food, he gobbles it down.

My little senior dog loves this dog food, the delicious chicken flavor is packed into a tiny kibble for small dogs that prefer variety and easily digestible ingredients help support their energy levels. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants a dog food made with natural ingredients containing minerals for immune system support as well as heart and kidney health. Go ahead and try it…your pooch will love it too!

My Mini Aussie has been fed Science Diet since we got him and he loves it (but he eats poop, so…). We also feed my other dog their senior food, and he enjoys it too, but their prices have increased so much that we’re having to switch foods. We love the ingredients, but, from my research, I’ve been able to find other options, with similar ingredients, that are cheaper. If you have the extra money to spend, I do recommend it, as the quality is there and my dogs like the food! It’s just not super budget-friendly.

I have 2 older cats that are overweight and 3 younger ones that I don't want to get that way. All are females that were dumped at my house in the woods over the course of 13 years. They were skinny and very hungry, so I kept dry food out for them all the time and gave canned food in the afternoon. When they were a healthy weight, I had them spayed & discontinued the canned food thinking they would stay the healthy weight eating just the name brand dry food. It didn't happen over night, but Margaret & Tiny piled on the pounds. Margaret has breathing problems because all the fat is pushing on her lungs (I had her x-rayed.) My vet recommended Hill's Science Diet Perfect Weight for all of them. I still keep food out all the time. How to have a healthy dog

We've had our dog for 7.5 years. He's a rescue so we're not sure of his age but we believe about 10 yo. From day 1, we fed him Hills Science and he's rewarded us by being healthy and strong. He's a cross between a chihuahua and jack russell. Mild mannered and perfect for our senior household. He's most content being held. I attribute his health and good nature to being fed good food thanks to Hills Science.

In Testing Stage

My big boy is about 12 years old and now 19 lbs. Took him to the vet for annual check up and doctor asked what I feed him. I said about 1/2 cup 'indoor' blend dry food in the morning and 1/3 can of Fancy Feast (tiny can) at night. Vet was surprised since that's not much in 24 hours. He's an indoor cat and gets "occasional tiny" treats of something I eat. Several times he sniffs my food but turns away, however, if it's cream cheese, look out, he's right at my feet waiting. Mom needs to lose weight too so I only get cream cheese 2-3 times A YEAR. Anyway, I digress... So it wouldn't be a shock to his system, for the morning I mix 1/4 cup of the normal dry food with 1/4 cup of the Hill's food and still sprinkle some treats on top and am continuing with the 1/3 can of ... MoreMy big boy is about 12 years old and now 19 lbs. Kibble Size

My cat has enjoyed Science Diet Perfect Weight for several years. However, starting in 2020 and continuing this year every bag I purchase has had different size kibble which has become concerning as the kibble size was one of the reasons I tried Perfect Weight and switched. The kibble used to be a larger flat, disc-like size that could be easily crunched by the cat. Over the last year, ongoing, every Perfect Weight bag I buy ...the kibble size has become smaller, rounder, thicker and harder, not the original flatter disc shaped! It is difficult for the cat to chew; he used to love to crunch the kibble. The first thought is the manufacturing plant is running the incorrect kibble size for this product as you have so many different dry foods and kibble sizes. You had a good product, but consistency in kibble size is important to cats. I hope you go back to the larger, flat disc shape or review quality control. The inconsistency in Perfect Weight kibble shapes bag to bag is disappointing. A suggestion for consideration... to have part of the dry food bag in clear plastic as some manufacturers' do.. so the kibble size can be seen thru the bag before a customer purchases the product. Too much inconsistency.

Noticeable improvement in my dog's mobility

I have a 14 year old small breed dog. She gets around pretty well, but can find things like stairs and jumping on the couch challenging now. I wanted to throw everything in the arsenal at her to maintain her mobility as long as possible. I tried several well respected joint supplements and didn't really notice a difference in her behaviour. I tried a prescription mobility food from another major brand - no difference. I tried the Hill's j/D and she is more active than I've seen her in years, and no more hesitating at the top of the stairs and the bottom of the couch (the brochures were true - she was back to play in 21 days!). I was reading the reviews here in hopes of giving this food to my cat. I noticed the calories are very low compared to cat food that is not for weight loss. Thus, I would recommend you give more of it than would be your normal usage amount. I am assuming that a weight loss diet for an overweight cat should subtract 15% off your cat's normal diet and your cat should lose weight very slowly in order to avoid liver damage. Losing weight quickly is risky for your cat. When dieting your cat, your need to consider how active he/she is too. 240 calories per day I believe are the amount required to maintain weight for an average sized, healthy cat -- less for a cat who is very inactive.
