They still use it and so do I.I now own 2 Boxers who not only have plenty of energy, but also have long longevity. Thoroughbred Boxers normally have an 8 to 10 yr lifespan. Mine are around 14.

My German Shepherd was a little overweight when I adopted her AND she is a picky eater, I tried this and it helped her lose weight and more importantly, she loves it!I also have a Dachshund, I put her one this as well but buy the mini bites for her.Once they lose the weight, you change the amount you feed them to maintain their weight. The portion control is marked on the bags, it goes by the weight of the dog.

One of my dogs is a large breed and I didn't like how the original kibble was small. Sometimes she would cough a bit after eating. I had complained to Hill's before about the size of the original kibble (as have other customers), and I am so happy they finally listened to their customers!:) Now they have this Large Breed kibble, in a large bag, and I couldn't be happier!! Both my dogs love it and it is helping them lose some weight. Another benefit is one of my dogs always had #2 issues with other foods, but his # 2's are normal now. This food also helps them feel fuller longer due to the higher fibre content. It also smells good lol. Thank you so much Hill's for listening to your customers and providing a great food!!:)
OK for my dog. She is 13 and doesn't eat much anymore. It is frustrating for me to buy this product at full price and then be sent a 20% off coupon within a day or 2 that expires quickly. Coupons always seem to arrive after I have made a purchase. Extend the coupon for a few months so I can use it on the next big bag of food.
We have switched our yellow lab over to this food for the last couple of months. She was starting to gain weight after an injury and it was becoming a real problem. After switching to this food, she has lost 10 pounds in two months! She's happy and playful again. She also loves the taste of the food so much that she will sit by the bag after eating hoping for more! Recommend this food wholeheartedly
I would like to know if this perfect weight large breed comes in salmon. According to my vet they say chicken is causing his ear problems. He is also over weight so I need weight management food. I have tried other food to no avail of losing weight. Vets seem to think Hills perfect weight will help. Thank you.

You can definitely smell the chicken and smell is important for dogs. It works, but it's very important to follow the feeding guidelines on the packaging. One of my dogs is down to his optimal weight of 85 lbs, and the other dog is still losing weight. I will note that I took a longer time to transition from old food to this one. They say to do it over a week, but I did it over 2 weeks. This is because one dog has a sensitive stomach and the other one acts like she's starving all the time lol, so I wanted the changeover to be slower. I was extremely disappointed that our past dog food was no longer available anywhere i looked and being a loyal customer was very disappointed that Petco didn't tell me this only out of stock. So i went to Hill's home page and found this was probably the replacement. I did a lot of research on this one because we have a very fussy eater. It HAS to be chicken flavored, just the right size kibble bites and so on. After reviewing this item and the help of Hill's we settled on this one. So far so good he is eating it. That's why only a 4 star review.
Sad how good dog food and pet food in general has attained new highs in pricing. People are paying WAY too much. Entirely too much. I am very very close to buying awful discount DF - but its the only way now. Sad.
