We bought this due to our Siamese throwing up everything else in the Science Diet range, even wet food brands. He certainly loves the taste of this, although one minute after eating it he threw up yet again. It's hit-or-miss for him, probably nothing to do with the ingredients but more to do with the fact that he forgets he has teeth to chew with, and just swallows everything whole. These are smaller kibble pieces than the regular Science Diet kibble we previously bought. It was also very handy having the bag delivered to our home the very same day.

I took in a friendly stray cat that was getting mystery outbreaks on his skin that weren't mites or a flea allergy, so after spending hundreds on vet bills I took the suggestion to put him on this food to see if maybe it was being caused by a food allergy. Bingo! It took about two weeks for his skin to fully clear up but I could tell within a few days that he wasn't experiencing the nagging irritation anymore. I regret not going this route sooner, for both of our sakes, but if you find the price to be discouraging I just want to say that for me this will be a fraction of what I was spending for topical treatments and steroid shots that only gave temporary relief. Bought 3.5 lb for my cat, who has food allergies and a sensitive stomach. We gave it a three week trial and transition period. This food gave her the most horrible diarrhea I've ever seen her have. She has changed food before, and never reacted this way. Immediately after taking her off the food, it stopped. Will not be buying again. Concerned about the food quality.

Our kitty was barfing almost every day, which was a pain for her and for us. Her stomach is much happier on this food. I haven't noticed a difference in her itchy skin yet, but that could take longer. She's a picky cat but loves this kibble. In fact, while transitioning her to the food, she picked out all of the *new* food and left the old. The kibble is in small, bite-sized discs.
I didn't use the old recipe but this current one has worked a MIRACLE for my poor Penny baby... She was getting sick all the time, it broke my heart... she is gluten intolerant and eats one flavor of Blue Buffalo that offers this type for sensitive kitties... when I got that fixed she was still getting sick but not like before... I just saw this food & my gut told me just try it!!! She is a totally different kitty.... her coat is absolutely ??% different!!! Shiny super soft and not shedding like before! She has stopped throwing up and is a totally different cat... wouldn't you be if you stopped being sick every day? She is so loving and wants to cuddle up with us now more than before....She is so happy!!! I cried seeing her so healthy and happy ??! They've gone and changed the formula of a Science Diet food AGAIN. Just so you know. Just to make chicken the first ingredient to pacify current trends. I have bought this for my sensitive skin kitty, I liked that rice and eggs were the main ingredients. They are certainly not going out of their way to make it clear that it's a new formula on the new packaging. You have to have your old package to compare what's in it. I even asked the dumb Petco employee and she assured me they "had" to mark it as a new formula, so this was just new packaging. B S. If you click on the new packaging on this site, you can eventually find a small blurb with some very limited info about the changes. I gave them a one star review when they changed their prescription k/d formula and made my kitty with chronic kidney disease throw up. They never posted it, contacted me to talk about my issues, I did not have the time to deal with them, and they contacted me again to tell me they assumed my issues were "resolved." No, they made my chronically ill baby sicker, and my issues were not resolved. So it's just more screwing around with formulas from science diet. They're not going out of their way to tell pet parents, so I wanted you to know. I have fed science diet for a long time because I can't find any food for my pets' requirements, but they are far from ideal. Hopefully this new formula continues to be good for my kitty. Hills track record with changed formulas in the past has not been good, from pets not liking the new food to it not working as well. My issue is them changing the formula at all. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
We tried this food since it seems to be better quality than Scott’s previous dry food. Also reviews said it helped other cats with hairballs and itching . He absolutely loves it! I can’t leave the bag out as he will try to knock it off the counter to try to get into it. He’s also had much fewer hairballs which is great since he is a long haired cat. Scott highly recommends this food
My cat was diagnosed as having small cell lymphoma. He has been on chemo medication for 3 years and we have to watch his diet.Hills sensitive stomach cat food has been perfect to ensure he receives the nutrition he needs but without anything in it that upsets his system. I have had no issue with my cats diet and he enjoys this food.It has been a great product. I wouldn't buy anything else.
My 17-year-old male tabby was down to 8.1 lb. Vet said tabby should be closer to 10 lb. Tabby was resistant to Canin Urinary SO, his primary food for many years. Vomiting every day. Switched to Hills Sensitive three months ago. He likes it. Feed him 10 kibbles at a time, 15-20 times per day. Approximately half of feedings are microwaved 15 seconds in water in a cat feeding dish, then served 10 minutes later. Brush him every day and remove a golf ball size fluff of hair. Now only vomits once per week. Has steadily gained weight. Now weighs 9.2 lb.
