This is a long story as to how I got to this brand- and I HIGHLY recommend it. My 4lb 2 year old Morkie was having a lot of health issues. We had her on Royal Canin, and she was vomiting and it got so bad she collapsed and we had to rush her to the vet unknowing what was going on. We were terrified and this was the food we were given when we bought her. So, I looked at reviews and come to find out many other fur babies were experiencing the same thing from Royal Canin, I asked a friend what brand she recommended for my little Morkie after trying several other foods after the scare we had and we were recommended this brand. Sheâs allergic to Turkey as well and itâs oddly hard to find turkey free dog foods. She LOVES this food, her skin is healthy and we havenât had a ... MoreThis is a long story as to how I got to this brand- and I HIGHLY recommend it. Sheâs happy, and loves to eat! She never skips her meals. The kibble is the perfect size for how tiny she is as well. Highly recommend for tiny breeds or fur babies with sensitive tummyâs.

My dog was sick lately due to sensative skin. In addtion to that she experienced upset stomach. She did not have much appetite so we tried Hill Science dog food for her at the right timing. From her reaction, we can tell she likes it and she eats more than last 2 weeks. She is normally picky about her food and seems has no problem with this brand so far. The dog food is in small bites so easy for her to swallow and digest so we think this food really helps. We would add it to her regular diet after finish this bag.

Three dogs, 2 Chihuahua and a Yorkie mix. They eat it slowly and carefully. A small bowl takes them all day as they just grab a few pieces and that seems to satisfy them for a while. While other foods irritated their stomachs with indigestion and improperly timed bowel movements this food keeps them regular. Their coats are shiny, they are healthy and energetic. We've had them on this for years because a in-store representative for the dog food recommended it. Thank goodness for her. She saved us and our beloved puppies. Thank You Science Diet!!!

My little Papillon, Peanut, now 7, weighs 5 pounds, has always had digestive issues since I acquired her at 12 weeks of age, not feeling well off and on for years. I have shown, trained and owned 3 other breeds... Australian Shepherds, Corgis and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels for the past 40 years. Each individual dog has had different requirements over the years, but this little Papillon, my first experience with this breed, has been quite the challenge. She has been to the vet's office multiple times, and has been on prescription diets, homemade food, dehydrated foods, premixes where I add the meat, and always ending up not feeling well after a month or so. She definitely cannot tolerate higher fat foods, and any type of raw food did not agree with her. She has been to the vet's office multiple times, and has been on prescription diets, homemade food, dehydrated foods, premixes where I add the meat, and always ending up not feeling well after a month or so. She definitely cannot tolerate higher fat foods, and any type of raw food did not agree with her. I literally have given away hundreds of bags of food to neighbors and rescue groups as she would reach a point of intolerance with each one (just not feeling well). Her weight down, and not feeling well early last spring, I took her once again to the vet who ran multiple tests. Levels being normal, she was again put on a prescription diet from another company. After about a week, her stool took on a jelly like texture, and I returned the rest of the cans I had purchased. Remembering a previous dog who had done well on Science Diet Sensitive Skin and Stomach for Toy Breeds, I decided to buy a small bag and give it a try. I have never looked back! This food has been miraculous for this little dog in that she has gained a bit of weight, and not underweight anymore, has lots of energy, loves the food. She has been on this food for about 7 months now, and never once has been ill or felt bad. I do soak it in warm water a bit before feeding, so it is softened, as she gobbles it right up. She is at a good healthy weight for winter now and feels wonderful...still acts like a puppy. Her treats consist of raw apples, carrots, and cooked green beans...and that's it. I never write reviews, but had to on this food!
We have 2 small Schnauzer-Poodle mixes (Schnoodles), an 8 year old female 13 lbs. (we've had since a puppy) and a 10 year old male 14 lbs. (we adopted from a rescue 4 years ago). Our female has always been a picky eater, but our male always liked his food. They were both orginally on Hills Science Diet Light small bites. Our boy developed irritable bowel disease this summer which we think was caused by the stress of being kenneled 3 times. He quit eating as much, lost weight and had diarrhea. After being on a bland diet of rice and chicken or beef or finally bison and taking steroids, he began to improve and we switched his diet along with our girl's to Hills Science Diet Sensitive Stomach & Skin for mini and small dogs dry food. They both seem to like it. Even when we fill a small Kong toy with the food and small treats they eat it most of the time. We do mix in a little Hills canned food for flavor once a day (they're fed twice a day) which we've always done and for the other feeding we'll put a few small pieces of treats on top and they'll eat some of the dry too. Like we said our girl has always been picky but seems to eat it just fine when she's hungry. They're stools are totally normal too with this food. We've tried other dry foods in the past but they seem to like this one best. We're sticking with it.
I added this to my repeat order I normally get every month. Because I rescued 2 small Chichewa mix Terrierâs. They had been emancipated. I sustained them by my yearâs of experience in rescue. And wanted to know their true health conditions. I had 9 items on my repeat order to get ready to leave wear houses on Jan 5, 2022. Now it Jan 12, 2022, and none of my items have been placed with a stamp. So I was forced to buy this somewhere else. And itâs helped in their stole and fur vitality. I recommend this brand. Note: All my 9 items in Petco are listed on website as available. But my order has been in pending status for 12 days.
Bought this on a whim for my senior Chihuahua who has had digestive issues on and off for the past couple of years. Imagine my surprise when after 2 days of being on this food (no slow transition), she passed a perfect stool! No struggle for her to get it out and no sloppy mess left behind.Sheâs been on just this food since and still doing fantastic. Being old and a Chihuahua, she can be a bit picky put she happily eats this food. The kibble size is also very tiny which is great because her teeth arenât the best.
Our 14 month old Poodle Mix baby always suffered from some digestive or itchy skin issues and we were constantly trying to find solutions thru her food and vet recommended treatments. Over 6 weeks ago, we purchased a expensive, human grade, non GMO boutique dog food hoping this would solve her problems since the 3 other dog food choices only made it worse. She gained more weight on this "grain free" food, her coat became dull and dry, she was bloated and her behavior was not normal. I couldn't believe it since the ingredient label read so healthy for our puppers.. Well.. she slowly stopped eating this boutique dog food and we were stuck not knowing where to go next. Our vet recommended Hills and after careful review we picked the sensitive formula for our angel.. ... MoreOur 14 month old Poodle Mix baby always suffered from some digestive or itchy skin issues and we were constantly trying to find solutions thru her food and vet recommended treatments. Her bloat is gone, her poop is normal and firm, her coat feels like velvet, her energy and personality are back to normal and she is eager to eat again. Her itchiness as calmed down too. I'm thrilled and hoping this continues.. cant wait to take her back to the vet and tell them of all the great improvements! Thanks Hill's..
Hills Science Diet for sensitive skin and stomachs is a God send and I ainât lying! My little Houdi as he aged became so sensitive to his food and suffered at least once a month with loud stomach growling and unable to eat for at least 24 hours. Houdi has been on Hillâs Science Diet going on 3 months and I promise no issues listed above has he endured since. Iâm not one for writing reviews but thought if this could help it was well worth it. Give it a try.
I have a miniature schnauzer who developed a sensitive stomach. He was throwing up and having diarrhea often. After some research, I saw that his breed was more prone to having stomach and digestion issues so I immediately switched his food out for this one. He hasnât thrown up or had irregular bowel movements even once in the past 6 months that heâs been on this food! It is kinda pricey but itâs so worth it!
