Does the job and cat loves it

My cat has started to have urinary issues, and was prescribed C/D food by my vet. This smaller tin (82g) is different to the larger tin, as the smaller one is a stew (not a pate) and looks like quite nice food. Ive also tried the foil-packaged options, and think this tinned stew is the most well-rounded food in the C/D range from Hills Prescription. My cat absolutely loves it, and her coat is beautiful on it. My only issue is that any uneaten part in the bottom of the bowl hardens quickly and is difficult to clean the bowl, but I just leave water soak in it for 30min and then it cleans super easy.

I have no choice but to buy this brand for my cats. One had surgery and has been through enough already. He used to love the Chicken Stew and now hates it. I feel bad for him, he now has to eat the Tuna flavor which he mildly likes. The Chicken Stew even smells different. It used to actually smell good. Please add more choices in the Urinary Care Prescription formulas and Please change the formula back!

Good but expensive
10 March 2024

He eats it. That's what matters. But the cost is outrageous particularly because I have to feed him two small cans daily. It would help if Hill's packaged it in 5.5 oz cans to reduce cost and price.

Good ingredients but a shame the can is not BPA free
2 March 2023

It's a great option for my 4 yro feline who likes her biscuits and suffers from urinary issues constantly. She likes this one when she's in the right mood. I just wish that Hill's would make these cans without the white plastic lining containing BPA. BPA free cans would be so much better for their health!

My cats like it
16 September 2022

I mean it seems my cats like this stuff. It stinks, but most wet foods do. I'm unsure still of it is effective or not with my cats particular urinary issues. She has been eating this food for over 8 months. But still has uri ary flair ups pretty regularly. She is still being monitored by our vet. The vet recently recommended we actually feed her a little more then what is directed so we shall see if it helps! But overall at least my cat likes it.

Something changed and my cat hates it now
25 April 2023

I have given this to my cat for years, but noticed that some batches had more rice, while some had very little rice, etc. I just blamed this on the supply chain with the pandemic and didn't think much of it because he was eating it and that was the point. However over the past 2-3 months, something changed with the chicken because my cat won't even touch it, and this is a cat who will eat just about anything, I now have 2.5 cases I can't use. Please change it back!

Urinary Care c/d Multi Stress chicken and stew can
19 May 2022

My cat was extremely nervous and anxious when I first brought him home from the Humane Society. And he is FIV positive which has it’s own problems, sometimes. He had urinary problems anytime he would get nervous or anxious. TheVet started him on the urinary Care c/d stress food and he has had no episodes whatsoever. I would definitely recommend using this food.

Very Picky Siamese Approved (minus the carrots)
13 July 2022

My Siamese is very picky and has all of the urinary issues that go along with Siamese cats. He really likes this canned food and I was given all of the brands and flavors as samples from his vet and this one was the only one he really liked. He won't eat the carrots but...he is a cat so *shrug*. He also has healed up from the struvite bladder crystals with the help of Hills brand dry food, this canned food and antibiotics. Petco was quick to deliver after getting the Rx people on their end to okay it.

Waste of money; cat hates it
31 January 2024

My cat hates this. My vet sold me and entire 24 case, so complete waste of money when everything is the most expensive it’s ever been. Why stew for cats? I’ve never had a cat that eats stew. Please make a fish pate version!
