I purchased this lock for my sons bike for university & his bike has been stolen. Thieves seem to have burnt through the lock as the part of the piece left on the floor has melted. Not happy at all havent paid a lot of money for a lock which I thought was heavy duty!

Only bought for bike insurance, bit short. wee tip if you unscrew the 2x hex screws the chain will extend by 2 links lengh and rescue the hex screws back in. As the chain not fully extended inside the fabric casing. This will add around 10cm in length, see pic. Arrow is the hex screw, the line is chain length before I removed hex screws. I learnt this by mistake lol

I was looking for a while for a lock and decided to order the lite wearable chain. I only need to to chain it up outside work which is already in a gated area so low risk of theft. I think it's string enough. I really like the padlock. It would take extra time to line bolt cutters up to try cut it

The Perennial Problem is that bike insurance usually relies upon you padlocking your bike to an immovable object when out and about. I bought this for use with an MTB E bike where the weight around your waist is far less of an issue than with a road bike. I must admit I don't notice it when wearing and might even consider using for road bike. However this is the Lite version. The chain and lock are not gold Standard, but will deter the opportunist thief.
Easy to wear and saves space in my rucksack, but don't get it anywhere near your chain, or it will transfer to your clothing.Couple of niggles:1 - as per other reviews, the lock is a bit fiddly to use. The velcro gets a bit in the way of the end of the chain, but not too bad. The fact the shackle is quite short means it's harder to break with some techniques.2 - the padlock feels cheap. Shackle rattles and is flappy when unlocked - would have given another star for a more solid feel to that.I bought it for nipping around on local errands, where bike isn't left unattended for long, and works well for that, which is what it's intended for. I'd use something beefier for all day at the station or out of sight.
I have had this item about a month and am very pleased with it.It's comfortable and easy to wear, and the lock /chain feel sturdy. I feel confident leaving my bike locked with this.The chain isn't very long though, so check the size before buying. It's about the same length as my old D lock, but being flexible it can be used to fix to wider objects I wouldn't have been able to use the D lock on. I find the key a bit fiddly, over a combination lock, but I guess this is the price you pay for having a more secure lock.I would definitely recommend this lock
I bought this to use when I am doing short stops. It’s easy to use and long enough to reach around the frame and a post. I hardly notice I’m wearing it and it’s convenience means I’m more likely to take it along with me. Like any chain lock, it can be broken into given the right circumstances, but for my purpose it acts as a good deterrent.
Very good quality chain - I would definitely recommend it. Easy to tie around your waist with an adjustable strap. Very solid.
I've had one for nearly 2 months now and I like it more with each use! It took a minute to get the hang of it, but otherwise it's very stylish and (most importantly) functional - easy and convenient to use and well made with quality materials/components. A bit pricey perhaps but overall it's worth it for a unique and useful product.
Really good lock. I like the fact it comes with 3 keys. Really good feature to be able to wear it if your bag is full. I find it more comfortable to wear over one shoulder and across the chest than around my waist.
