But genuinely this is a phenomenal TV!Picture quality; You may notice a small amount of white backlight bleeding through from the rear, giving an almost in a halo effect around the TV. This is the rear illuminated light to the LED’s (or so I understand) behind the screen it’s easy enough to resolve however it does mean you need to turn down brightness to around 50-60% limiting true black, and will give you the dark purple for some pitch black scenes, that said in general this has a cracking picture quality and its HDR.Set top box integration and points to be aware of… if you have a supplied box from your tv / cable provider make sure it is a UHD or high definition box. Non UHD tv cable (set top box) units will display a sub par and poor picture due to the screen size being so big even when set to output 1080p. Despite having HD channels on a set top box and 1020p selected as picture output quality, not having a UHD box really shows on a 55inch screen. While not a problem for the A6GTUK it’s solves the issues with set top boxes using freeview, freeview play, Netflix, Amazon prime all directly though the TV (rather than a Set top box) and using VIDAA. Freeview and freeview play are built in, an amazing feature well done. If watching freeview though an aerial your picture quality won’t suffer the poor picture problems as experienced with a set top box as the tv does all the picture quality and up scaling providing a significantly improved picture quality, good overall colour and decent colour depth despite being an entry level HDR 4K TV. Other plus points are the ability to pause TV although you do need a dedicated and connected external hard drive to the TV, my set top box is now being recycled.Sound; While the internal speakers are good for a flat panel tv, they are more for people who don’t own a sound bar or external speaker system and leave the sound quality poor; lacking bass, mids are washed out and the highs are over powering, an external speaker setup is a must! That said with a supported external sound system you can get the expansive audio as provided by Dolby Atmos being built in and that’s really good at providing expansive audio. The remote feels quite light in the hand while it is laid out well, sadly there are no physical stop, play, pause buttons on the remote . These functions are a digital option on a pop up screen menu, that said it works quickly and easy to use once you get the hang of it.As I said previously, this is a mega TV at its price point, I have been particularly picky on points to consider when buying this product but all round it’s a great 55inch 4K LED TV, has voice assistance built in and access to all the usual smart services. It smashes the competition out the park at this price point and an amazing product. Well done Hisense!

I was really looking forward to this but will try to issue a return. If all goes well and I get a working product I will gladly update the review.Cuz man, that's over $400!DELIVERY: I will say I feel horrible for the Pilot delivery man,he was so kind and helpful. Great TV for the price

I use it as a second monitor for my computer that I stream to. Couple things I wish I knew, you cannot have it start on a particular HDMI input, so that when I turn it on it defaults to the android screen. Great for the price. No need for Sony, Samsung, etc

At the time of writing, I have owned the 50" model for just over six months. So far there has been no major niggles with the product and I am thoroughly enjoying using it. I am on a budget, and I found the price I paid for this was just right for me. The 4K display is proper decent and the HDR is amazing, it makes films(however old they are) look like brand new. The VIDAA system for apps is alright but needs improvements and the option to remove apps that does not interest the user, but I really like the buttons on the remote control that take you straight to the most popular apps. I think adding Apple TV+ would be a real benefit for the system going forward. I think adding Apple TV+ would be a real benefit for the system going forward. The apps are world known, but I also have a Sky box which also has the majority of the apps available on VIDAA, so I would not feel the true benefit of the system, unless the subscription was cancelled. However, BritBox is included on VIDAA which said satellite service does not have yet. I have not yet found a benefit to the Sport mode, but that is probably because my satellite box does not support full 4K. I find that the best benefit of the TV is when I am gaming, because it makes the graphics of games look quite amazing. I particularly like the AV input, which the competitors no longer have on their equivalents, the HDR picture is amazing when watching a VHS or DVD, and that is why I chose Hisense. I found that the supplied stands were unsuitable for my TV cabinet, but I purchased a TV stand(similar in setup to a wall mount), and it now fits on said cabinet. Setting it up is very easy, because of the on screen instructions and connection to the internet is a doddle, I like the different picture options and sound options that can be applied. I originally purchased a soundbar to accompany the TV, but I found that the sound is so good enough that it is no needed in the room it is in. Yes, the picture is not the absolute best 4K one expects for the price ,but it is good enough for me. Overall, If you do not want to pay extortionate prices for 4K tv's, then I thoroughly recommend that Hisense is the brand for you. You will not be disappointed!

Hisense Makes a Quality TV at a reasonable price

The A6 Series 43 inch is the perfect price for my kids room. The picture quality is not disappointing. The initial setup was so easy to do and we were able to watch within minutes! Google made it especially easy to set up with your existing Google account. That alone made finding and downloading our favorite streaming apps a breeze. The setup to our WIFI did take a couple of tries to connect but that very well could have been our connection as well. My daughter watches Netflix and YouTube mostly so to see those shortcut buttons on the remote for her are a bonus feature. Downloaded games to play in the TV are just another added feature that makes this TV well worth it price point. The audio is ok, it lacks alot of bass but for a Tv that will be in a bedroom its not a huge deal. I have played a couple of HD 4K videos on YouTube and this TV handles it great. The colors are amazingly bright and the picture is clear as can be. The built in Chromecast is probably my favorite feature. To be able to cast a phone, a tablet or a Computer is a great feature. Especially for a girl using it in college and she has those study sessions with her roommate she can cast her PC to the tv and they both can benefit from seeing the information on a bigger screen. So I think Hisense has hit a home run with this TV. It's clear picture and great colors with all the great added features is Definitely a Quality TV at a reasonable price!

The sound that is on the television is good but to magnify the surround sound effect a soundbar was able to make the Hisense television a great affordable home theater.I like the fact that the remote control has several buttons for easy access to some of my regular apps used for content. I seem to watch Netflix, Hulu, HBO Now, and Prime the most for my favorite shows on the Hisense television and thoroughly enjoy the overall picture quality and sound I experience with it. I would highly recommend the television to my friends and family. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.

Hello all,This tv was great for a year and a half. Not an exceptional quality of picture, but much better than 1080p for sure. You will notice the difference if you’re switching out from an HD picture. Other than that there aren’t too many special characteristics on this tv. Remember though, it’s a budget tv so no bells and whistles with the technology. While it worked, the picture, in general, was decent enough for me, but if you’re into a lot of movies or gaming, if you can, I would consider upgrading to a tv with better technology. Recently, my tv picture would not turn on. If I pressed the power button on the remote the tv would blink 3 times, twice, then stop.I just dropped it off at Best Buy and they’re sending it out for repair. Premium Features

Everything looks so vibrant and clear. There’s also plenty of picture options so you can set up the display exactly how you want it. Our family programs and movies have levelled up and we’re enjoying them in much higher quality, with stunning detail and lifelike clarity.Similarly the sound has exceptional clarity. There are plenty of presets and adjustment options so you can customise your sound settings to suit your environment or the kind of things you prefer to watch. This includes some useful speech enhancing options and a setting which averages out the sound level without losing detail, so there’s no harsh increases or drops of sounds as your programming changes. It’s all very clever. The interface for the media and apps is one of the best ones I’ve seen. It’s super clear and easy to find what you want, especially compared to our previous television which was from a well known premium brand. The Hisense is far more user friendly and it’s far easier to navigate throughout all the channels and adjustment options. The remote is a pleasure to use. It has positive feedback on the button pushes and it’s intuitive to hold, so before long you’ll be able to operate your usual functions without having to look at the buttons. There are also some short-cut buttons on the remote which will take you straight to some of the most popular apps like Netflix, Youtube, Rakuten, etc, which is very useful. We’ve got Amazon’s Alexa in a couple of rooms in our house, so it’s great that we can now bring her into the lounge via the TV, operated via a mic button on the remote. Again, super easy to set up too.I’ve really enjoyed rewatching my favourite films on this television as it really brings them to life in a new way. It’s great to turn the lounge into a cinema and enjoy them in such high quality. On top of that, for normal daily use, when I need something that’s quick and easy to use, this television has provided more than I expected.

Surprisingly good budget TV.

So only time will tell if this is really a good deal or not, but initial impressions are all good. Price for the size is more than fair and everything about it is well above average. Definitely not what you probably expect from a budget TV. Especially love the remote, thankfully that while this is a smart TV they don't give you one of those tiny Roku remotes, instead it's what your probably used to in a typical TV, which just feels right and all together better. Inputs are plentiful with standard A/V inputs and 4 HDMI ports. Don't look to me however for how good or not this is for it's smart features. I only use TV's for local broadcast TV, movies and video games. I guess it is nice to know that virtually all big TV's today are smart in case I suddenly want to use ... MoreSo only time will tell if this is really a good deal or not, but initial impressions are all good. I only use TV's for local broadcast TV, movies and video games. I guess it is nice to know that virtually all big TV's today are smart in case I suddenly want to use it. Meanwhile I'm kinda pleasantly surprised also about the out of the box settings for both picture and sound. No need to adjust either even slightly. IDK how it fairs with other 4K images, but to me and especially for the price I've absolutely no complaints, in fact it's an excellent picture. If I had anything negative to say it's that I've never cared for the totally edgeless frames on some TV's, such as this. But even that isn't so bad, it's just sort of a preference. Ultimately it's a great budget TV at a great price. I also considered TCL, but the majority of theirs don't have standard A/V inputs (technically they do but require some unique adapter, not the typical kind) and with both being at the budget end and well reviewed it pushed the favor for me to Hisense.
