This fragrance to me, smells like a Hollister store and I have always been obsessed with that scent so I am so happy to own something so similar. I have been so impressed with its lasting power too There arent many fragrances that I can spritz on at 5 am and still be able to smell it on the skin by the evening so I was incredibly impressed with this This is a great fragrance to spray onto jackets as you can smell it days later too This is a stronger scent which I love as there is nothing worse than wearing a fragrance that you cant smell yourself. Even with it being a stronger scent, I dont find it to be overpowering or give me a headache.

I was first introduced to Hollister colognes by my sons one Christmas years ago. They gave me Drift. It was great. Then, Hollister stopped it, but there was SoCal. Again, great. But it kept getting more and more expensive. Then, Hollister began putting out many more colognes, some good, some not so good. And, sadly, their stores dont carry all or even many of them. And reviews rarely provide enough info to make it worthwhile to just purchase a small bottle to try out. And if one gets popular, Hollister starts raising its price. So, heres the deal. If you like SoCal, youll like Wave. It is not a cologne, per se, but an eau de toilette, so it lasts longer. It is subtle and smooth, not citrusy or musky. And it often comes in the 3.4 oz size for somewhere between 2030. BUT no doubt, that will change as people begin purchasing it more. Other colognes from Hollister I like are Ridge and Winter Getaway, but both of these appear to have been discontinued. Too bad. Ridge was really, really niceand different. The Hollister website described its scent as tobacco leaf and frozen pineapple, and that really did seem to capture it. Now, I dont smoke and was really skeptical about the tobacco leaf odor, but it is NOT a tobaccoy smell at all. Whatever the scent is, it is used to tamp down the sweet frozen pineapple, which still remains. Its a really nice cologne. Oh, a couple of other things to keep in mind. Theres also a Wave womens perfume. I have no idea if it smells the same as the mens cologne. Also, there is now a Wave 2, and I have no idea what it smells like.

Bought this scent blind as I had never smelt it before, but liked the description of the perfume. I really like it. Floral and dark fruity hints to it, but not too sweet. Once it has settled down on the skin it goes more musky/woody but still fresh smelling. Scent lasted all day on me. Bottle is lovely to display on a shelf or dressing table.
