over the last year - had three of these on three different taps. All broke in the same place at the major t-join at the base of the main connector. This is a very weak point that renders the item useless. Now replaced all with plastic ones - if they break still much cheaper than the metal ones.

After reading negative views on this item I put one of these on my garden tap. Appears to be sturdy with no leak problems. These items are not designed to take excessive side force such as yanking on the hose. Leaks at the tap connection can often occur due to poor brass mould finish on the tap side so maybe a quality thick silicone washer would be beneficial. I used multigrips to tighten (do not over tighten). Remember to check the pressure rating on these as some ball valves on each outlet can fail.

Looking at this tap I thought originally it was a brilliant splitter. However as many people have also stated out the middle of nowhere the neck of the tap split and added about $100 to my water bill.Holman used to be good. Spend the extra $10 and get Nylex or Gardena.

The centre tap when turned off started to leak water at a fast pace. The main purpose of this device is to stop water. So very disappointed. Very happy that Bunnings replaced it without question. We will see how long the replacement Holman metal 3 way lasts.
Bought this to install an irrigation system. I used it once! It leaked the same day I tested the new irrigation system. The seal leaked at the neck. I should have read the reviews. Goldman should take this product off the market and go back to the drawing board! I’m so frustrated that after taking three weekends to install my irrigation system to have this part fail. The rest of the systems works perfectly. And because this part has failed I have to remake the entire connection to the tap because I measured the hoses to fit a certain tap! Don’t buy!!!
I have 4 of these that I use for my spear point irrigation. The main one I use with a couple of Holman 2 way adaptors to give me 6 outlets. This is located in full sun and they've never given me any trouble. Durable with nice large levers to make adjustment easy.
I find the quality and ease of use excellent. The individual tap valves are easy to turn making this so easy to use. I have a 4-way which is extremely hard to use as the valves are way too stiff.The construction of this 3 way seems high quality with no signs of leaks or damage from about 5 months of use.
Bought this a few years ago as I thought it would be more resilient than plastic. Began corroding on Perth scheme water almost immediately but I persevered. It’s now so corroded two levers can’t be moved and I can’t attach a new hose fitting. Not a good investment. Also not clear if the ‘metal’ it’s made from contains lead. Back to plastic unfortunately-very disappointing.
So after buying a variety of these over the years I bought one of these which was more than my budget but after the rest have failed thought this was worth a try.Have had it for about 6 months now, and it doesn’t leak and the individual little taps are perfect. I have irrigation on one, short hose on another, and long hose on another, and one spare.
I’ve had this for two years and no problem at all. Bought it because plastic unit I had basically exploded after material broke down. This product will not break if used correctly. Turning taps on and off will keep them from becoming stiff.
